On the March 28 broadcast of MBC‘s “Quiz to Change the World,” EXID‘s Junghwa and Solji, 2AM’s Jokwon, M.I.B’s Kangnam, Kang Kyun Sung,Park Hwi Soon, Ji Sang Ryul, and more appeared as guests.

During the episode, Jokwon stated, “I saw [Kang] Kyun Sung hyung for the first time in a long time. But he’s become a completely different person,” expressing his surprise. Kang Kyun Sung then explained how the two of them knew each other: “I was also at JYP [Entertainment]. I was there for about four years.”

After hearing this, Junghwa revealed that she had also previously been a trainee under JYP Entertainment. “I was under JYP [Entertainment] as well. Hani unni was also a JYP trainee with me.”

When asked why she left the agency, Junghwa answered honestly, “I was kicked out,” causing laughter. In response, MC Kim Gu Ra questioned, “That means Hani was kicked out too. Why did JYP let everyone go? What happened to his eyes?”

1. [+389, -35] Thank you, JYP

2. [+427, -185] She should also mention why she got kicked out. JYP obviously invested thousands into her training and it's because of that investment that she even got to debut in another company but here she is cosplaying as a victim without talking about why she was kicked out in the first place.

3. [+317, -78] Junghwa seems like a natural beauty without any plastic surgery so let's give her attention too instead of just Hani

4. [+402, -204] Why did she leave out why she got kicked out?? It doesn't always have to be JYP not having an eye for talent, what if Hani and Junghwa had problems too? So please stop mentioning this already.

5. [+200, -26] I have a feeling it was because she lacked vocal talent... she's good in other things but her I noticed that she doesn't excel at her parts in their songs..

6. [+79, -15] The only singer Park Jin Young admitted to regretting losing is IU, that's it.

7. [+71, -7] JYP obviously kicked her out because she was among other stronger competitors in the company. She eventually ended up debuting in a company with less competition than JYP but there had to have been a reason she was kicked out in JYP, most likely being that she wasn't up to par with the rest.

8. [+55, -5] MCs should stop asking about JYP... makes JYP get hate, makes Junghwa get hate.

9. [+40, -7] JYP said before that they kick out trainees on a three warning basis and if they can't maintain school grades so it was probably one of those reasons. Or maybe some even leave because it's hard to maintain studies and train at the same time.

10. [+33, -7] If JYP invested 5 years in her and still kicked her out, it obviously means she wasn't talented enough for them.

11. [+33, -7] It was originally supposed to be Hyorin, Bestie's Yooji, and Jieun that was supposed to debut as three under JYP but something happened and it was scrapped. JYP then hastily picked members who could purely dance well and debuted miss A ㅋㅋ Junghwa's pretty but she didn't have the dance skills that JYP needed so she probably had to leave. It's funny how no one cared that EXID was from JYP before they got popular but now it's the main topic of conversation.

number 2 made me lol just because i always laugh when i see the word 'cosplaying' used like that. anyway the last comment wins because it's true. the media keeps wanting to make a big deal out of successful trainees that used to be in JYP when the girls want to promote their current group, not what they didn't become

They use it so much in Korea in really amusing contexts. I always get called a "Foreigner cosplayer" if I'm playing a game with another foreign friend and a few other Korean teammates, and speak in English to that friend and then Korean to the Koreans lmao.

netizen 11 clearly doesn't know shit as miss A was a really thought and planned project that they worked on for years and not a hastily made one.

also I'm with netizen 8, I'm tired of people using this to hate on jyp, it's not like the group is a huge ass success bringing in all the money in the world to the company, neither was their company's work the reason of their popularity. they only got attention due to a fancam (which then later attracted attention to the group itself and the talent of the girls) so if that didn't happen people wouldn't be shiting on jype for not debuting them.

plus idg what's the big deal of them being ex jype trainees or were denied by the company, the bigger companies have tons of ex trainees that debuted in different companies, and kids who want to be idols try out to many companies.

this is becoming the new 'I was supposed to debut with snsd' sort of deal.

btw my annoyance is towards the media and netizens, not the girls.

that's true. I'm pretty positive that IU would not have blown up under JYP bc she DID get popular mainly off that cutesy concept and she would most likely have been put in a group. Its a damn shame JYP doesn't know how to manage his artists well bc they're all super talented and likable.

"cutesy jailbait uncle fantasy which isn't what JYP typically does"

lol what were the Wonder Girls then? JYP putting then 14 year old Hyuna and Sohee in 'sexy schoolgirl' outfits and S in Wonder Woman gear for Tell Me....

it's okay my princess you're in a much better place now

tho lol @ people wanting like some super juicy reason she was kicked out. Junghwa stole my heart but she is not the most talented girl in the group by any stretch of the imagination, lmao.

so annoying. since exid is one of the it group of the moment and people are thirsty to highlight how overlooked the group was, how about they focus on the members' talents? solji was there and she basically kicked some ass and took some names with her vocal talent, which isn't talked about nearly enough:

I hope LE gets some of that spotlight next, she's one of the rare female idols who is actually a solid rapper. Up &Down wouldn't be the hit it is post-fancam if it wasn't for her and the group's vocals.

I mean sooooo many ppl have been trained at JYP, i'm not surprised. they can't debut that many but given how many awesome ppl they let slip I'm sometimes quite surprised at the people who managed to make it to debut, but no shade. I'm sure a lot of them benefited from the training before moving on to smaller companies.
