i don't understand how you can justify going to people's homes, following them and basically invading their privacy. a lot of these companies are too soft when it comes to this kind of behaviour (or worse) and they need to be more strict when it comes to protecting their artists.

Going to their house/building and trying to sit next to them on planes is ridiculous, but I don't get the issue with taking pictures of them at the airport. They're celebrities and the airport is a public place. It comes with the territory, no?

Is it an image thing? "Oh, you can't see us getting off the plane because we don't have makeup on!!" I don't get the issue there.

The "while it wasn't permitted" part sounds like Big Hit had a permitted picture time and then told the fans to leave them alone for a while and the fans didn't listen.

Just because they're idols doesn't mean they have to be accessible for pictures whenever they're in public.

Well no, they don't have to stop and take photos with fans, of course, but just taking photos of them from afar shouldn't be a problem. It's also not something they can control (though I don't know how the laws are in Korea).

If it had been from afar I doubt Big Hit would have made such a big deal (and it would have been awfully hard to collect their names and information). Unfortunately, I suspect these fans were mobbing them.

EDIT: From reading the fanclub's original posted rules, the part about no photography in airports/on planes is because they don't want to make any other passengers uncomfortable.

Ah, okay, then I agree with BH. If fans are given a time to take pictures then they need to respect the group when it's time for them to move on.

Damn, BigHit plays no games, I'm into it. Aren't they obnoxious as fuck once you get into the fanclub though?

ze:a's leader himself made a huge post on the fancafe back in 2010 and from that point on the fandom began to be knewed by one of the most polite and gentle of the fandoms, wich still goes on; beast's yoseob also did the same and beautys became much better after that, so i guess more than the company, the idols themselfs should do it :/

I hope they stick to these rules and make new ones if necessary. There is no such a thing as being too cautious when members' health and well being is concerned.

YESSSS! THANK YOU BIG HIT FOR NOT ENABLING SASAENGS! THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!

Big Hit may have its share of stupidity, as all companies do, but I'm so glad this is something they are firm about. I hope they continue to be this way. I can't thank them enough for making this statement and giving actual consequences. They're doing more than the freaking police right now, and I love it.

This post is a bit late? Not that im complaining
Big hit is doing their part in protecting the kids, but apparently some fans have issues with the company getting ID numbers (and the like) of these blacklisted fans for nondisclosed purposes, AND without written commitment that they will be treating these information with due care and protection. i smell privacy breach

but i gotta give them props for always calling the fans' attention, cos while i dont think bangtan has serious sasaeng problems, the Taipei airport situation still got out of hand

Ground rules with actual consequences for violating them. Good on Bighit.

I'm gald BH is trying to do something to prevent creepy behaviors (if this isn't creepy enough yet...)
These situations are so sad, they are persons too and need privacy, I guess going to see them at the airport it's cool if they respect their personal space, but going to their office, hotels, apartments or even sitting next to them in the airplane just to talk to them is too much...
SO I think a lot of people may complain about BH being too strict but all this wouldn't be necessary if "fans" respected idols privacy
