Bigbang schedule solo concerts; April comeback happening after all?

According to reports on March 19, a music industry representative revealed, “BIGBANG will be opening up a solo concert this coming April 24 to 26 at Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastics Stadium. It will happen as part of their comeback promotions for the new album to be released around the beginning of April.”

It is said that BIGBANG’s junior labelmates iKON will be taking on the opening stage at these comeback concerts. These concerts will be a stepping-stone in the preparations for iKON’s official debut later this year.

YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, previously shared, “Starting with BIGBANG, WINNER and iKON will be releasing new albums within the first half of the year. All three teams are currently focused on working on their albums.”

Meanwhile, this long-awaited comeback for BIGBANG will be their first in about three years.

Yang Hyun Suk’s statement regarding news of Big Bang’s concerts in April:

“We scheduled Big Bang’s concerts from April 24, but the dates are not fixed. They are still in the final stage of preparations and their comeback schedule will only be outlined next week, so I’m baffled by these articles coming out.

The news regarding iKON opening for Big Bang is not true. Nothing has been decided on Big Bang’s concert opening.”
