A IQ question Tablo once solved four years ago is brought up on an episode of Problematic Men

Epik High‘s Tablo high IQ and problem solving skills have gained attention once again following a recent episode of tvN‘s Problematic Men.

Airing on March 5th, the cast were given an IQ problem/puzzle in which the situation was given in a mixed order and the test taker must put them in correct order by using the visual clues.

As this mission was given to the regular cast, which includes Jun Hyun Mo, Ha Suk Jin, Kim Ji Suk, Lee Jang Woo, Tyler, and Rap Monster, a clip (Y Star‘s Curiosity) was shown to them revealing that Epik High’s Tablo had solved the very same puzzle four years ago in just 11-seconds! Solving this problem in 20-seconds or less supposedly indicates you to have an IQ of around 170. Though this is not a shocking news to longtime fans of Tablo, who is already known to have a high IQ.

Problematic Men members who were able to solve the problem included Ha Suk Jin, Kim Ji Suk, and Rap Monster.

Netizens who saw this commented, “Tablo did this in 11-seconds, he’s a genius,” and “I don’t know how Tablo did this in 11-seconds, I saw the answer in 100-seconds.”

this doesn't make any fuckin sense with the answer, you can make up whatever story you want to explain essentially any order of them, what a dumb question, IQ tests are trash

also IQ tests are defined to have 100 as the median and a standard deviation of 15, so an IQ of 170 is nearly 5 standard deviations away, meaning that to define a question to that level with any degree of certainty, you would have to consider data for a bare minimum of 3.5 million people taking the test when normalising it, which I'm pretty doubtful of

I gave up on iq test after little brother of my bff had to pass one before entering primary school. they asked him what a strophe is and he got max points for answering 'a little catastrophy'. It makes more sense in my mother tongue tho.
I took tons of them as a kid, I am dyslexic and they always gave me the 'which pattern doesn't match others' ones. Once the guy who was supervising me left the answers in front of me and I think it was a part of the test :p I always had high scores in that stuff but it only lead supervisors to telling me I can't be considered dyslexic anymore and I still wonder why is that.

You're not supposed to administer IQ tests to kids or even teens. It's not accurate until one's brain has finished developing the prefrontal cortex/executive function, namely in the late late teens or early 20s. That school/your examiners are doing it wrong and likely not helping the self esteem of kids haha.

they only gave us iq tests up until 15-16 years old... first one when i was 10, it was part of an application to my former school. i don't know too much about the methodology, so i didn't think before that it was weird. some of our maths/logic education was based on tests like the above in my school... yeah, it was bad for a lot of people's self esteem for sure.

Almost. I wasn't timing myself but it didn't take long for me to get 2-5-1-3-4. But, I was looking at the tiny pic on my phone at the time and didn't notice 3 didn't have a gun shown (now I'm on my computer). I might have gotten it right if I had since my answer is nearly identical except for 2 numbers I switched, lol.
