EXID’s Hani Is Completely Honest About Her Easy-Going Personality on “Running Man”

EXID’s Hani revealed that she is a very down-to-earth person with a cool attitude.

On the episode of SBS’s variety show “Running Man” that aired on March 8, Hani forms a team with Yoo Jae Suk.

While some may be fooled by the “pretty mean girl” stereotype, Hani shows her easy-going personality while driving to the next game location. Once in the car, she immediately rolls her bangs with a hair roller in order to keep them styled, showing she is not afraid to look a little goofy in front of the camera.


Then, as she is taken over by drowsiness from the car ride, she yawns and falls asleep with her head titled to the side. Even Yoo Jae Suk is surprised at her down-to-earth personality because very few girl group members have been this honest on camera. When she wakes up from her quick yet deep nap, he jokingly comments, “I thought you were dead.”

At one point, she even uses a mouth refresher spray, burps, and rolls down the window.

Meanwhile, on this episode of “Running Man,’ EXID’s Hani, GFRIEND’s Yerin, and actors Jung So Min, Yoon So He, and Nam Ji Hyun partner up with the original crew as couples for a race.

I normally don't give a damn about netizens, but do I roll my eyes now? Yes, I do. Every idol wants to sleep during broadcast, there are very few who dare to do it. Of course it's respectable to keep running non-stop and entertaining the viewers and all, but if someone just takes a break when they can, let them do it.

Um, Hani isn't the first idol to fall asleep during Running man. I remember when Sohee was getting tired and she was falling asleep and they were able to make light of it since she was tired. I can't even image how long the shooting days are some of these shows, I'm surprise that some of the other cast don't start falling asleep more often, though I do remember on different occasion that did happen.

it's an issue of culture. in the eyes of Korean society Hani's actions were very disrespectful, like netizens 6-11 point out. it'd be fine if she were with friends or family, but that kind of behaviour isn't acceptable when she's with a senior.

as for me, I think the falling asleep thing is fine, but burping and not covering my mouth when yawning when with someone I'm not close to/in a public situation (I know it's in a car, but she is on camera) is a bit rude. idk, is that British manners speaking?

In Poland yawning, even if you cover yourself, is seen as disrespectful. Its a sign of being bored and disinterested I yawned a lot at school and teachers used to give me penalties like all the time, standing the whole lesson through just because of single yawn... When you're talking to your close friend and you suddenly yawn, it can be interpreted as not listening at all.
Burping is plain rude on the other hand. I had special lesson at school about manners and I actually had the impression its all about controlling yourself while making it nice for other people (who usually arent nice at all :p).

I'm glad Hani's getting more coverage. Despite the Up & Down revival, there weren't as many cf offers as I hope they would get.
After watching weekly idol, I knew. Yea, Hani is such a tomboy, so different from the image she portrays on stage.
Perhaps it's a cultural thing or the Netizens are reaching, the "burp" is NOT a burp. Maybe for the yawn, it would have been better to cover her mouth. As for falling asleep, she isn't the FIRST guest to fall asleep on Running Man, plenty of idols and actors have done the same and some were rookies or were not close to the RM cast.

i can kinda see netz's point though about it coming off as disrespectful. i mean it really depends on how you're raised / the culture you're brought up in. i wouldn't let myself fall asleep on the passenger seat when my mom/dad/someone older than me is driving when it's just the two of us in the car, unless they see my fatigue first and say it's ok, though i know it's not a big deal for some people.
