Get ready for Rap Monster"s takeover as he will be unleashing a solo track with the help of Warren G!
The BTS leader is apparently dropping the solo single in March, which he worked on with the American hip hop legend Warren G. The project was made possible as the two previously worked together during the group"s stay in LA for their reality show.
According to one rep who"s involved with this project, "Rap Monster is hoping that this project will become a stepping stone for him on his maturation as an artist. We are currently negotiating on possible interviews with the U.S. media and various promotions."
Rap Monster left for LA on the 23rd to finish up the song and just landed in Korea today (26th). In addition to this new solo single coming up, he"ll also be featuring in MFBTY"s upcoming release, proving himself to be not just your average idol rapper, but a rapper who acknowledged by big names in the scene.1. [+123, -27] Since when was Warren G hip hop's godfather?
2. [+102, -15] I don't know who Warren G is but congratulations~
3. [+80, -23] He's one of the leaders of the 90s g funk golden era and people are treating him like a nugu... Even though I admit Warren G's nothing much without Nate Dogg
4. [+44, -3] Wishing him luck~ I'd like to see young hip hop idols with a career for themselves
5. [+37, -2] Wow! Rap Mon gets his own single just two years into debut. Congrats and will be looking forward to it!
6. [+30, -3] Warren G was really daebak. Bone Thugs Harmony was legendary in the east with 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Warren G.
7. [+41, -15] He's definitely not at the same class for Bobby to be dissing

All this haterade up here. Geez.
ANYWAY, I'm so happy for Rapmon, and what this could potentially do to stir his creative juices, and consequently, influence Bangtan. I remember when Rapmon said he was starting to struggle to find inspiration, but now he's doing these two collaborations, getting his name out there. I'm really proud about this, and I'm excited. I just hope the other members will be able to get their work out there too, and have opportunities to grow like this. (More than a random kpop duet for an OST or something like that). Each member is so talented, and I hope Bang PD is giving them all the attention they need. :3
