Man, I despise YG for always releasing a special region 2 [read: JAPAN] version. Now I either have to go through the hassle of finding some program which allows me to watch the region 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 version or I have to buy the Japan one which probably won't have any English subtitles? How are you other Europeans/Middle Easterners doing it?

Japanese version is totally different from this one(and more expensive and without English subs) and I just realized this is not region 2 rip

Yeah, I saw that it was pretty different but I wasn't sure about the subtitles. I wouldn't have minded it too much then, but without subs ... that'll be a bit more difficult.
Yeah, YG pulled the same shit for TOP's photobook. I mean it makes sense that they would not make the international version accessible for region 2 people if they wanna sell a more expensive version in Japan. I hate region codes so much. -.-

I just use VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) (freeware) on my computer (which I have hooked on my TV) to watch DVDs that aren't region 2.

Ok, but how do you do that??? I have the VLC player, too, but so far I haven't managed to do that?? Maybe I'm just too stupid (and I always thought I was quite alright at handling technology).

Idk, I haven't have ever really had problems, except some times I have had to select "no disc menus" option to get the DVD to play properly. Which operating system you are using?

Omg, I am such an idiot. I was thinking of my old computer! OTL I just tried out a region 1 DVD that was lying around in the apartment, and it automatically worked in the VLC player! Good grief, sometimes I am just too dense! Thanks for the advice and your help though! :'D Still don't know how to circumvent Blu-ray region codes (do you maybe also have a tip for that?^^), but at least I can order the Winner thing without worrying now. :D
