relevant to this ep, i guess:

The producers of KBS2TV’s “Superman Returns” are facing criticism due to the questionable editing of a scene involving Song Il Gook and his triplets.

On the November 23 episode of the show, Lee Hwi Jae and his twins, Seo Eon and Seo Joon, paid a visit to Song Il Gook and his triplets Dae Han, Min Gook, and Man Se. During the visit, Lee Hwi Jae gave toys as gifts to each of the triplets, but soon after handing them out, Dae Han and Man Se got into a fight over the toys. The episode showed Dae Han taking away a red toy that Man Se had been playing with, causing the youngest to burst in tears over the situation.

To solve the conflict, Song Il Gook took both Dae Han and Man Se to an another room, and firmly explained to the children, “If you fight, then you can’t have the toy.” Next, he told the brothers to make up by hugging and giving each other a kiss, but Dae Han rejected any contact with his younger brother. As Dae Han is usually known for diligently listening to his father, the sudden change in his attitude raised questions about the details of the whole conflict.

In an earlier scene, it can be seen that Lee Hwi Jae gave a blue toy to Man Se, a pink toy to Min Gook, and a red toy to Dae Han. In the following scenes, Dae Han can be seen playing with a blue toy while Man Se has a red toy in front of him, indicating that the brothers had simply exchanged the toys without either one of them getting upset.

After playing with the toy for a while, Dae Han asked Man Se to give back the red toy, which originally belonged to Dae Han himself. However, the captions describe the situation with the words, “Dae Han shows interest in Man Se’s toy,” and, “Dae Han takes away Man Se’s toy.”

Lee Hwi Jae, who seemed to be aware of the truth behind the conflict, asked Man Se, “Where’s Man Se’s [toy]? Man Se’s toy is here,” and when Man Se showed interest in playing with the red toy, Lee Hwi Jae continued to ask, “You want that one? You want Dae Han’s one?”

After finding out what actually happened, the show’s viewers have expressed their disappointment over the captions written by the producers, claiming how the comments are ‘inappropriate’ and ‘unfair.’

Last month, “Superman Returns” was criticized for allowing more frequent appearance of the mothers on the show, which contrasts with the original intention of the program.

Ya'll might as well leave with the way the writers are creating drama and the netizens keep insulting the kids and their families

It's only going to go downhill from here tbh. :/ I'm sad Haru and Tablo are out but glad at the same time.

And I guess it's a good thing that even though everyone signs a contract for the show they can opt out at any time if they are acting in the best interest of the child.

I don't think Daehan was painted in a bad light tho. They were both punished cause they were fighting.

The dads were awkward with each other but Hwijae was so precious with Minguk. Minguk was legit sad when they were parting.

"Don't say 'Kajima' say 'Kajimaseyo'" lol.

It always happens with children. Parents dont really know the situation and just punish both of the children. My mom did that often because my brother is younger. Anyway it wasn't really Daehan's property. I'm sure Hwijae wanted the triplets to play together. And I don't agree that he should have brought the same toys.

Hwijae is the best to make children laugh! I watched the scene near the river twice. When Daehan and Mingguk couldn't stop laughing it was so sweet!

The video for Sarang was so cute but damn stop trying to surprise her lol

Haru and her friends <3 I'm glad it was the same dolphins.

The staff sucks with trying to create drama between kids. Parents can be alittle unfair but Song il kook seems fair enough tbh. I really hope Daehyun doesn't get stuck with the older brother thing though. He's older by seconds. He shouldn't have to give up things for the other brothers or have to be more responsible than Manse for instance. Pretty unfair on him.

i STILL havent caught up with the rest of the episodes but i really dislike it when they put the kids in situations they're not comfortable in (i.e. haru meeting g-dragon before their concert, sarang meeting all these celebrities at their house) and the love triangles with sarang and the jun brothers etc. i get that they're trying to create storylines for these kids but it just screams fake to me and i dont enjoy it. i just wanna watch the kids be themselves, having fun with their families and it's off-putting when they try to force these storylines

also the thing with the triplets, idgi either and i also wish daehan doesnt get stuck with the older brother thing. i find it a little ridiculous to be imposing some sense of responsibility and maturity to him. while he may be older than minguk and manse, he has the same mindset/thinking as his other brothers. to expect him to take care of the two 'younger' ones is a little absurd.

About Daehan being labeled the hyung, I've talked to some of my Korean co-workers and that's just the way it is with twins or triplets or whatever. The first one to pop out is the oldest and will be called such. I don't think there's a term in the Korean language for same - age siblings. Same-age friends, yes, but not siblings. One has to be the oldest. But that's just I learned from my co-workers maybe there're other Koreans that think differently.

i feel like i get what you're saying and i understand where you're coming from??
idk i just think it's a little absurd to be instilling a real sense of responsibility to the 'oldest' one when he's not even older by that much at all. but then again i've never been extremely fond of the age-hierarchy thing in asia, speaking as an asian myself :(

They are children and siblings on top of that. Leave them alone. They are still learning right from wrong and how to properly address others. As for the mothers on the show, I like it. We get to see how the parents interact with their kid/s and each other.

i'm sick of the writers' shit stirring and kbsworld's lousy subs. if the kids weren't so adorable, i would've quit watching it ages ago. the children are precious enough. they don't need dramatic storylines to make the show "interesting".

have a minguk to make this post more positive
