Every time I watch these acting award shows, I become more and more convinced that all my faves are actually robots or holograms. like, what type of stoicism...

yeo jin goo was so embarrassed(?), uncomfortable(?), going through a hardware meltdown(?) i swear i replayed his expression @ 3:13 at least 4 times...

too bad kim soo hyun wasn't in his seat, would have liked to have seen that.

Most of k-actors are socially awkward in real life. I always felt how uncomfortable they are when they were interviewed during award shows or events. Only a handful of them are natural in front of the camera.

i think it has to do with their image. i mean many of k-actors go for the "mysterious" aura, cause it's safe. they have to keep up the appearances... also i always felt actors in korea have to behave in a cerain way also because the general public demands it. there's this "actor's face" and who has it (like idols who don't and they try acting) etc.

I still think 2PM's performance at Blue Dragon award in 2008 as the most interesting performance at an award show tbh. While the actors & actresses look kind of bored in TVXQ's Mirotic performance, they look alive during Heartbeat and at the end when Taec rip his shirt, the actresses expressions were hilarious! XD

Most actors spend hours to dress up, then hours in red carpet interviews, then hours of award show, in the middle/end of it, they are probably tired and wanting to rest/sleep, so this is why they have these expressions on. . .

The performance was really cute, and the persistence in looking into various people's eyes as they sang seemed to at least crack a few of the exterior walls lol some of the reactions were fun.
Sometimes it seems like these events must have a special prize for the people who keep a straight face the longest!!
