Swings will be enlisting in the army.
On Novementer 13, Swings revealed throug his SNS that he is going to the army.
"After Verbal Jint hyung′s SNS about support me with KATUSA spread quickly, I need some time to think," wrote Swings. "I′m writing now because everything′s organized now. I will be enlisting on November 25 at 2PM KST at the Uijeongbu 306th Reserve Corps."
"Unfortunately, I didn′t make it into KATUSA. I will be enlisting as a regular army soldier. For the record, ever since I was born, Korea was my nationality."
"I think I had a pretty good run for seven years. More than any other year, I didn′t rest and I worked music and the growth of Just Music. Because of that, I was able to pay back my mother′s debt, I also helped my dad retire from being a taxi driver. For the JM family, I raised a not-just-humble building, and did a chart all-kill that I′ve always wanted to do. I thnk I′ve done everything that I′ve wanted to."
"Even at the beginning of this year, I knew I was going to around this time, so I′m not struggling through anything. Everyone goes and returns, and there′s no reason that I can′t. Like I said above, I try not to lose any opportunity that comes my way."
"I′m just very afraid that I won′t be able to help my colleagues and families like I′ve been doing for the next two years. I′m not trying to sell my emotions, but in this moment, tears are coming out. I truly hope that no one has to ever experience the mistakes and worries that I have. So if you like me, I want to ask for you to like them too. I shall return well."
"I′ll confidently protect the country and come back, so don′t forget me. Thank you. I love you."
Swings will release his digital sing I′ll Return (translated) on November 21 and hold a final concert at Hongdae′s Yes24 Muv Hall on November 23.

He does seem to want to learn or has learned from his mistakes so 2 years away come back ready to go. I'll listen.

If he was already exempted due to his condition, then why is he enlisting? That schizophrenia or whatever psych problem he has can backfire on anyone and everyone.
Park Haejin was also exempted from serving because of psych problems. He's apparently been on medication for years.
