this was really cute ;n; i wish they had interspersed all the serious performing stuff with moments like this in m&m. that's what made WIN a lot more bearable for me bc it's nice to see them getting along and laughing freely. yunhyung's hiding idea was the best and i loved how they were such boys when hongseok pulled out his book.

(on a separate note: china? hmmmmm. does this mean that hongseok's mandarin skills will bolster his chances? interesting.)

The only person that makes sense is Jinhyeong. Hongseok....the way he sings just isn't for the group. YG knows this...KNEW this, and continues with the scheming and manipulating. He could have spared those kids' feelings a year ago and just added another person after WIN was over. But his sadism outweighs any type of normal logic.

So they're targeting Chinese market... then they'll be singing songs in mandarin or? It's pretty difficult to learn, does this mean Hongseok actually has a chance in Ikon? So confused. I thought this week was going to be the final episode, but that turned out wrong.
I don't wanna get involved with the fandom mess going on lately. Didn't vote during Who is Next, and I'm not planning to vote this time either for Mix & Match. Ikon will consist of members that YG wanted from the start, lbr. Give me the line-up and I'll deal (as long as Junhoe is there). I just want IkonTV already.

i think ppl like chanwoo bc he gets the most screen time. and even on ep 7, when they're testing maknaes, they tested chanwoo and donghyuk, while they could've done that with chanwoo and jinhyeong. and chanwoo does the maknae role well so.. idk maybe he's just likeable. altho, yes i'd prefer if it's jinhyung who's the +1

since beginning Hongseok has always been my first choice (followed by Jinhyeong), but since he was such an underdog and i felt nobody liked him and we were like 7 to root for him i thought he was totally doomed. but with that China marketing thing now... i'm not too sure he is that doomed after all. he's still got a chance...? *fingers crossed*

Still hoping for JinSeok but that's a pipe dream. All these OT6 fans are too biased to see that an added vocalist would only make iKON better. I'm just ready for this to be over already so we can focus on the important things (iKON TV).

UGH i know it's going to be OT6+1, but it wish it wasn't. i feel bad that only two are getting kicked out. i think they should either accept them all or kick out more lol. it's like too much heartbreak on too few hearts. spread it out some~

even when they do show donghyuk with personality, i still don't like him.

i like all 3 newbs, and i can't decide who i think it should be. if they're going for china they should put in hongseok. jinhyeong is so cute and his style fits in well with the rest. chanwoo is super loveable and i like his relationship with the others, but he always seems to be acting the part of hip hop.

at some point i kinda wished team b would debut as original 6, and the other new 3 together as another new group, by adding a couple of rappers and maybe another vocal. 'cause yeah... i feel bad for the 2 who are not gonna make it... i could see Chanwoo keeping his acting career. but Jinhyeong and Hongseok, i'm not too sure what they'd do. not everybody has the chance to become or have the path of hyunseung...

I will never understand why some intl fans are so adamant on singling out donghyuk within the group and anyone who thinks ot6+1 are ignorant/biased fans. sometimes it feels like people are still hung up on the level donghyuk was at during win, and are completely ignorant to his improvement in the vocal department. I would understand their complaints if donghyuk were a kris or a seokjin, and brought nothing to the team, but that is not the case. donghyuk is a great dancer and has been doing great during his live performances re: rolling in the deep, let it go and honey. he even has dancing skills that even hanbin hasn't mastered yet and is a great team player with choreography.

ot6's group chemistry and quality of performance is what sets them apart, not their singing (which is a lot better than most people give them credit for.) and I prefer a trainee that can mesh well with the group as it is now, or add something, not subtract. Most people keep insisting that these new trainees can just improve, while completely ignoring the improvements of yunhyung, donghyuk and junhwe.

With the deadline of a january debut in mind, the only group I see managing a debut successfully in terms of performance is ot6 and jinhyeong or chanwoo. hongseok has a good voice, but i just don't know if he has the drive or the ability to mesh well with the group. He hasn't shown much improvement in his shortcomings (staying on beat, keeping up with the rest and not sticking out during performances), while jinhyeong and chanwoo have really improved in the same amount of time (i mean jinhyeong has gone from terrible dancing to acing deux, incredible), so the latter two seem like the better choices if we're thinking short-term debut/long-term improvement.

Same tbh. I have liked Hongseok since day one, and was hoping he'd fit in well after a few months of training together. Then came the horrible editing on the show, and the surge of anti-fans and I was like ???
I love Hanbin and tbh I can't believe iKON is potentially going to end up as B.I, Bobby, Junhoe and the chipmunks.

I am also pretty disappointed Hanbin didn't warm up to Hongseok...you'll see Hongseok reaching out to Hanbin through pats on the back etc, and Hanbin's just like whatever with him. This must affect the way the team as a whole sees Hongseok and definitely also affects the way Hongseok feels about his position in the group and his sense of belonging. Mix & Match has been a complete mess..
