Honestly, against many comments I see elsewhere, I agree with YG about Team BI winning (though Team Bobby was SUPER close) because the performance was engaging even if the song wasn't the best choice. I was glad YG told Donghyuk and Yunhyeong that they had improved greatly. Also I was like YES Donghyuk during the dance and then cackled at Jinhwan with that sexy drop. How cute were their reactions to the girls? Hayi has her own ship name so I gotta support Team BHI though not that song choice.

Team Jinhwan slayed my life with those falsettos! I literally had my hands in the air. Theirs (and Team Bobby's) is the song I could listen to on my ipod but not necessarily rewatch. Whereas with Team BI, I could watch it again and again but their song itself is meh, if that makes sense. BI knows exactly how to put out a great performance.

Jinhwan is such a pretty crier I feel bad for wanting him to cry more lol. I like that even though Junhwe and him got praised he still felt bad about the team as a whole not doing well. Sensitive tiny hyung.

YG better be praising Chanwoo so that Jinhyung/Hongseok would be compelled to rise from the ashes and improve immensely or so that they'd get more votes I refuse to see any other reason.

when i saw b.i's team was going to do basket case i was really hesitant but it turned out to be really good. i liked it!

i CANT at bobby being so weird around the idea of girls coming and how shy he was acting. HAHA i watched that part like 3 times. all the yg girls are soooooo cute and lovely. next week will be a fun show.

Jinhwan is such a treasure tho. YG was right he's the glue. Felt so bad for him cause him and Junhoe tried their best to make Hongseong do well and despite him singing well, he seemed so out of it, there was no performance, no emotion, no nothing. He just stuck out like a sore thumb. Hell even Chanwoo and Jinhyeong managed to show some type of presence on that stage despite the lack of vocal range.

b.i, bobby, jinhwan, yunhyeong, junhoe, hongseok, jinhyung or gtfo. i like donghyuk but his voice is v. similar to jinhwan's voice + he's kind of bland personality wise. chanwoo tho, he's so nice but i rage everytime he's praised. don't encourage him yg. he's the worst choice.

about performances i'm sorry to my bb b.i but it's bobby team (bc bobby slayed bless) >> jinhwan team (it was awkward at times but vocally wise>>>>>) >> b.i team (bc basket case sucks)

The basket case performance was garbage come on. Bobby's team was clearly the best but I think all the teams proved they need a lot of work still.

For Team Jinhwan, although Junhwe killed me, it did look like Junhwe and Jinhwan were singing an entirely different song than Hongseok.

I actually thought Hongseok was doing good until Jinhwan started singing and all that funk/soul and dance performance appeared and I was like, "Hmm...Hongseok had no feeling when he sang." Then Junhwe started singing (and winking and whispering) and it was over for Hongseok.

Hongseok was just so stiff, awkward, and off beat that I think that's on Jinhwan as the leader and Hongseok for not practicing more on his own. Though my heart does go out to Jinhwan.

A good voice does not make up for a lack of stage presence or an inability to match. A disjointed performance is just less appealing. Hongseok was singing a plain ballad and Junhwe and Jinhwan were doing a r&b soul stage. YG was right when he said that if you can't blend in with the two main vocals, and you're supposed to be a vocalist, that's a problem

And...Let It Go...so Team BI is going to lose next week huh?

Minus Hanbin, Bobby and Junhoe, this group is horribly basic. Is YG really gonna debut this group? They can dance in a unit?? So can countless other groups. What exactly are they gonna bring other than the two rappers? I guess fangirls will jump on 7 dicks but that's about it.

And two chipmunk voices in one group. A huge no. The three trainees aren't really special either. Though I guess they're cute but then so what. This is like your run of the mill idol group.

I guess all my hopes rest on the girl group.

Much as I like Team B and Bobby in particular, I can't really disagree with this. This is like BI, Bobby, and others group.

In contrast to this group, Winner and Big Bang look like shining gems of perfection with good rappers, dancers and singers spread out evenly. I liked the fact that in YG's groups, each member really pulls their weight, instead of just being there for looks as many members of SM groups are (JYP too for that matter, look at 2pm). Even Seungri managed to find his own important role in Big Bang mostly by playing a key role in their Japanese promotions.

I also think YG sort of shot himself in the foot with the first tv program Win. After he showed Team B to the public, he couldn't fundamentally change the group without a lot of backlash and so he's stuck with the morass of mediocre talent who aren't even particularly good looking enough to be the face of the group and pull in fans.

Plus, I think he knows he can't keep Bobby and BI in the basement much longer, or they'll probably try to make a run for it, when really this group should debut in 2-3 years with at least 2-3 better singers/dancers.

I'm 70% sure I want Hongseok to be in the group now. His vocal tone is a good balance betw Junhwe and Jinhwan. But he really needs to work on his stage presence (look at Hayi tho, she was awk when she debuted. surely it can't be a reason to not add him?). Please work hard, Seok, work haarrrrrd.
Junhwe was so <3 ahhh, this kid. Even made YG giggle like fangirl at the end haha. He's just so ready. And he's growing up to be a handsome namja too *cough* /jailbait.
Jinhwan, as usual, slays the choreo and seems like a natural performer. He's a chipmunk, but a talented one.

Chanwoo... Ikon't at some fans who want him to be in the group for real. He's a nice kid who knows how to listen to his hyungs, but they really don't need him AT ALL. Props to B.I for making him look good.
Yunhyeong is such a solid singer now. Him and Junhwe should be announced as official members already and let the rest fight for the last spots tbh.

So funny how excited the boys were about working with girls. Especially Bobby lmao. Wow, his mega-dorkiness came out there. This is the same guy who confidently shows off his abs on SMTM3. xD Hana is a cutie pie (is she Eunbi's replacement?)

I liked this episode and i'm really looking forward to the next one especially because of the girls. yasss to lee hi and soohyun! And lmao at Hanbins reaction when he heard girls were coming he seemed genuinly happy.

I also agree that yunhyeong and donghyuk improved visibly and I'm glad that YG and That's-NoNo-Wu pointed it out, tho I'm still not a fan of Donghyunks voice.
Also, YG's comment about the original 6 at the family concert kinda reassures my believe that it's going to be Team B + one new member.

About the stages... I felt like they were somehow on the same level tbh and none of them stood out as the best or worse. I'm really impressed with Junhoes vocals and I really warmed up to Jinhwan since M&M started,never noticed what a good dancer he is in win.

At the moment I hope that Hongsoek will join ikon (hope he manages to solve his style~ problem) out of the 3 new trainees, cause chanwoos is cute and somehow blends in but he's also really young (98-er) and his vocals are lacking, he doesn't relly contribute anything to the team. And the other one has simply no presence imho.

watched it without subs yesterday. and i think, vocally, jinhwan's team did well, although heonseok is like dead fish. and for the first time i realized jinhwan's stage presence. like he's really there. and added with how he take care of the younger members i am now convinced that he deserves to be in the team. he's so good looking too, may you get tons of cf+acting deals, kid.

and while i agree that BI's team performance is really entertaining. we can't really judge chanwoo's voice from it. so it's kinda hard to compare with the other two team. it's the matter of what is yg priority i guess.

Loved this ep, loved the performances, LOVED the dance stage (I'm only bitter that the camera job didn't really do it justice with its constant angle shifting). And gdi Jinhwan for everything.

Fangirl gushing about my now established bias aside, I'm still holding out hope for my OT6 + 1, but I'm not sure who I'd like the +1 to be. I like Chanwoo's attitude and how he seems to blend in well, but on the other hand he seems to blend in so well (into the background) I can't really pinpoint anything remarkable about him at all. Then again, I had the same issue with Yunhyeong in WIN and look at him now, so.

Jinhyeong is still my fave when it comes to looks and personality, but bb's performance is weak. If Team B is really going down the intense choreo route though, which I hope they will, he's more likely to keep up considering how he seems to be the best of the newbies.

Hongseok... the poor guy just seemed so nervous and stiff throughout the whole thing. I really like his voice, but there's still the style/blending in (and staying on beat) issue. And his subpar dancing. Nothing time can't fix, I'm sure, but somehow I'd still prefer seeing him debut under a different company and a different group. Like a ballad group, for instance, or at least an idol group/company that is less "swag-oriented" that'll do his preferred style of singing justice. But that's just my opinion.

Both performances were OK to me. But, I do think you see who stands out and who can work a performance and who needs to work on it. Especially, there being only three people per team, it's really easy to spot.

Team BI – I liked Yunhyung (cheetah print suit?) a lot. On WIN, he really faded into the background; he was kind of like how the new guys are now, but now he is really making himself known and I like it. He's fun and he really gave that performance it's energy. The other one (snapback) was just kind of there but he at least kept up the pace. My eyes kept floating over to cheetah print, though. The rap over the ska parts were nice, too.

Team Jinhwan – I think that Jinhwan and Junhoe did well and the falsettos in this performance, though a bit jarring for me at first, were really nice. But, that one guy was singing a ballad while everyone else was singing a more soulful song and it stood out quite a bit. He wasn't bad but he looked like he was doing something different entirely and it disturbed the stage every time his parts came up.

B.I's team did amazing. Yunhyung has improved greatly, he is totally shining in M&M unlike in Win. I'm proud of him. I totally want him in Ikon now. I'm still on the fence with Donghyuk though, I feel so bad for him. I don't know how much more he can improve, but he totally wants this badly. I feel like his main competition is Chanwoo right now.

hongseok's voice really bridged the gap between jinhwan's and junhwe's voice & the harmonizations were actually really nice. but ia w/ yg's comment about hongseok needing to find his identity and trying to fit into the color of the team because he does seem pretty awkward rn.

/but/ the main thing that stood out to me was that i especially liked junhwe's admittance of him knowing that he could've helped hongseok more but didn't, and jinhwan apologizing to the two (as sad as it was ;~~;) bc at the end of the day as much as a person wants to fit in and blend, he can't do that if the entire team resents his presence so i'm hoping the others give him the chance to do so soon. (yunhyeong really helping chanwoo is a perfect example of a good tactic leading to a great team performance, despite the vocals being pretty subpar overall...)

yunhyeong has improved so much in terms of vocals and stage presence so i'm really impressed! which leads me to the glaring difference to donghyuk, because though he has improved too, it just isn't enough. (yg saying team bobby had no main vocal..ouch) and the growth potential of the new trainees are making it hard to root for him as much as it would be a sad situation to break team b up.

I have to emphasize...no main vocal, because they are Junhwe and Jinhwan, but he admitted he couldn't tell they didn't have one
