hongseok is super cute and has a decent voice, i'm looking forward to seeing him perform.

chanwoo is just the most adorable little thing ever jeeeesus. i don't want to get to attached to him tho bc i think he's very likely to be cut :(

and yunhyung just keeps winning me over, i already liked him bc of the WIN BTS stuff, but he's improved SO MUCH and he just seems so sweet and nice, especially to chanwoo, they seem to have formed a bond (probably over how much they look alike lol)

I liked the Rolling in the Deep performance, also bc Bobby looked SMOKING HOT daaamn.

i think my favourite moment tho was when the pds "found" hanbin in the park, he looked soooo cute, we need to see more of his adorable smile

Poor B.I.... kid has too much on his hands. I understand all the frustrations he went through including how strict he was with the newbies because he had SMTM3 and still had to be in charge of choreo and his own group performance. I'm glad he was able to run away a bit and cool off.
Yunhyeong is climbing up my Ikon bias list quickly. He is such an awesome person. I would be confused if he had any haters out there cuz he is just sweeeeet (like Bobby).

Hongseok is really goodlooking, and has a pleasant singing voice. But I'll have to see if he matches with the group cuz idk... also I'm so worried about his 1st stage performance cuz he was a mess during rehearsals. His voice was cracking, he doesn't seem to know how to hold the mic properly for singing... ayy, I hope he performs a miracle next episode and slays.
Team Bobby's performance: Donghyuk did surprisingly decent imo, and I really like Jinhyeong's tone. Is Bobby gonna keep this grunt-thing he's been doing? I hope he doesn't mess up his voice. His rap was good tho.

I'm betting it's OT6+Jinhyeong in the end. Kfans aren't liking Hongseok anymore.

I really want Hongseok to find his place in the group! Both sides need to make more of an effort though for it to happen.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I want iKON to be Hanbin, Bobby, Jinhwan + Junhoe, Yunhyung, Jinhyeong & Hongseok.
Chanwoo is a nice kid, but also a definite no. Donghyuk is a good dancer, but his chipmunk tone....it's never going to go away - not even if he manages to develop singing skills the like of Junhoe.

This. Donghyuk just doesn't stand out to me and he seems the least improved after 2 years. If Jinhyeong can improve that much, he can easily surpass Donghyuk. But maybe that will change.

Although realistically, I think it'll be OT6, plus 1. It's early days yet.

I love OT6 so much. They just fit so well together. I feel bad for the new kids but I feel worse for OT6. The stress they're going through can't be compared.

Bless Hanbin, I was with this kid since 2010 and I'll stand by him for as long as I can. He's such a strong kid, his determination and strength is so admirable. And for someone so young....I love him to death and no one can tell me shit about his skills be it music, dance or leadership wise. I felt so bad for him, no wonder the kid just couldn't catch ground on SMTM. YG knows how to pick perfect leader for his groups tbh but he also knows how to put them through hell.

Bobby keeps being flawless what else to say. Jinhwan is truly the glue. It's so refreshing to see someone as young as Junhoe (and a trainee no less) not pretend and speak what's on his mind and heart.

I have to say I'm so fucking proud of Yunhyung and Donghyuk. I'm so fucking happy they got to shine and show their worth and talent. Yunhyung seriously improved so much in such a short span of time and Donghyuk showed in this episode that he's no useless and that he more than earned his place in the group. I knew they had it in them, both of them and I'm glad they basically threw a middle finger for anyone who said they shouldn't be in the group.

As far as the new kids go and this is me casting aside my biasness towards OT6:

Jinhyung is uhmmm just there. He's cute but he really doesn't bring anything new or improved to the table. Chanwoo, I've grown to like him a lot, he just seems like a really kindhearted child but just like Jinhyung, he basically adds nothing to the group. His talent in singing and dancing is nothing to brag about. He should stick to acting. Lastly, Hongseok can sing ok, but he so doesn't fit into the group at all. And he really came off a bit standoffish and too cocky. If you're coming into a group of kids that work their ass off and you know it, you need to put in more effort not just in catching up to them, but in trying to approach them. Just because you're a hyung to most of them, doesn't give you a free pass I know none of these 3 new kids is to blame, and I don't think any of the OT6 members blame any of them, but no one can say they're rude to them or that they're not trying to swallow their pain and help the new kids out.

All in all, my hope that YG, being the dick he is, is just throwing these new kids for the hype, drama and to test OT6 and push them harder, remains. As nice as the new kids are they really have no chemistry with the original members and they stick out. YG needs to realize that the dynamics and synergy the original 6 members have is something that doesn't come by often.

gOsh that performance. love it so much. bobby nailed it. and i'm sorry jinhyeong, so far you actually were the one i least saw and pictured being the +1 member to be part of Ikon (considering it'll be the whole team b + a new trainee, because that's what i want and hope for ok. i can't even imagine the whole team b not making it in the end just no), but yeah, jinhyeong did good in that performance.
i feel bad for both hanbin and the new trainees. it must not be easy for none of them. but i actually like Hongseok. i like the fact that he's a hyung and he's different from the rest (not that much into hip hop etc) and he seems to be a solid enough vocal. and chanwoo is a cutie too. gdi i knew i'd end up liking all the new trainees. but yunhyeong~ that sweetie pie~ and also donghyuk that cutie pie has improved a lot and handled that stage great.
looking forward for next week, i'm a bit worried for Jinhwan's stage.

None of the new trainees want it enough though Chanwoo has previously demonstrated the desire to have it in his interviews. There are alot of people who like Hongseok internationally but I was cringing with the team during his intro. More importantly he lags in almost every area and hasn't made the additional effort to catch up even after Hanbin told him.

That's a No No.

I agree with DC Gall that these trainees are a mess, I feel bad for Hanbin, and YG is just messing with Team B for fan tears/anger

I want to be like you heifers need to get your life because Hanbin is the leader and Hongseok ignored his guidance so don't be mad when he gives him real talk. More importantly Hongseok needs to adjust to the 8 of them...not the other way around

I never watched WIN but I fell for team A after it finished, mostly because I saw their dance to Jamie Cullum (I love his music) and then because they were just so endearing on winner TV.

Now M&M has suddenly gotten me obsessed with team B/ikon. I think it's going to be OT6+Jinhyeong even though I'd love to see Chanwoo get through (he's so cute). I'm having to reserve judgement on Hongseok till next week; at the moment I think he's a pretty good singer but he doesn't seem to fit as well as the other two and he'd need intense dance training (Jinhyeong and Chanwoo need more training but they're significantly better at dancing than him).

Hongseok has potential. He really is the best singer of anyone right now, but unless he can get his dancing skills up to speed it might not mean anything.

BI is so stan-worthy. His serious leader mode is really hot, but then he was cute coming back from the park with those smiles <3.

Bobby looked ridiculously hot for the performance, like set my laptop screen on fire hot. I was surprised by Donghyuk and Jinhyeong's improved vocals, but Donghyuk's voice really isn't my cup of tea.

Right now my picks for iKON... BI, Bobby, Jinhwan + Junhoe, Yunhyeong, Hongseok, Jinhyeong... I think. I'm a little torn trying to balance talent verses who I think really has the ambition for it, and like I said if Hongseok can't learn to dance he shouldn't be put in the group.

Ehh like others have said, OT6+1 seems like the best combination right now. They have all improved so much. I really like Yunhyeong now too. He was kind of invisible in winner lol. Donghyuk is the only one I wouldn't reaaalllyy mind going, but he has improved loads too so..

I'm not so sure about the newest guy. Team B was so good because above all else they were a real team, they could put up a great show and they could dance so well. The new guy hasn't had any training at all, it seems and he isn't even interested in hip hop lol. I think he would fit much better in a group like Winner. Also his attitude seemed a little off, but maybe that's just because he studied abroad?? It was kind of amusing to see them cringe every time he spoke during their first meeting tho lol.

Also leader B.I is all kinds of awesome.

My lineup is becoming ot6 + Jinhyeong. Hongseok has a nice sounding voice (tho needs practice) that would be a good addition to the team but darn, he needs to play catch up in basically every single aspect and if he can't dance, then nwm full stop. Plus Jinhyeong's winning me over. He has a deep voice that can still be improved, which is what group needs tbh.

So happy that people are being blessed by the light of Yunhyeong - kid is so perfect and precious it hurts. The way he tried to ease Hanbin's burdens by teaching Chanwoo was so cute I swear to god if he doesn't make it I will slay YG.

Speaking of slayage, Bobby's team did such an amazing job! I didn't think Donghyuk would have it in him to do anything that good, but he was also pretty good at helping Bobby out in terms of the composing and stuff. I liked what they did, and Bobby looked SO DAMN FINEEEEEE

Hanbin forever being cute, when they found him and he was grinning omfg why is he like a year younger I would hit that in a heartbeat. I think that I personally severely underestimated how much he had on his plate - thinking back, it kind of makes sense that he would forget lyrics in SMTM3. If I were in his position I would probably have had a breakdown by now. He's a strong kid, and definitely a star leader <3

i was actually pretty impressed by donghyuk in this week's performance? hes improved loads from before
y'all are too harsh on the kid, LOL. imo his voice only sounds 'whiney' when he sings in the higher register
but even that has become less prominent when u compare it back to win:who is next.
bobby rocks the stage as always, and jinhyeong did pretty good being a new trainee and all

also yunhyeong and bi are so precious ;_; and i have no problem with hongseok but like i dont understand why some people are already rooting for him, cant say anything about his performance cus i havent seen it but honestly it didnt sound too good during the rehearsal and i feel like he wont fit in the group that well since he has no interest in hip hop...

Donghyuk is awesome...he had the idea for their song and arrangement and worked on it with Bobby together and he SHOWED HIS VOICE...and also he's a great dancer.

I don't understand why people are rooting for Hongseok already either and I wouldn't care if they weren't dissing Hanbin and Donghyuk for someone we've seen nothing from except the clips of him not performing well, hasn't made the effort to adjust to the team, and won't practice as directed. I mean...I really can't understand. Especially the people saying Hanbin should have focused on him individually for dance part that was for the 5 best dancers...GTFOH he obviously wasn't going to make the cut. And for the rest of the dance he STILL hadn't learned the dance routine FIVE DAYS BEFORE THE EVALUATION.

I feel like I'm so much more into iKON/the whole Mix & Match show because they're the typical, past, "stereotypical" YG style. The style which I love from YG, the style which I miss. This is like Big Bang's survival show and I love it.

Although I was pretty pissed at this constant run around that YG kept putting these boys through, I'm now sitting quiet because I want to see more more more.

New member Jinhyeong catches my eye, other that Hanbin (ooh lawd that child), and even though he was rumored to be an iljin, I won't touch that, because although it's bad situation, he still has time to learn and mature.

Now onto Hanbin. Every time this freaking kid gets into leader mode, I legitimately get chills, am I the only one? Like I'm scared along with the members, lmao. Just so much passion, he's headstrong, like he fits the role so perfectly in guiding these boys. And I also love the fact that it's not just him, but each and every one of them have a hand in guiding each other. I love the teamwork that I'm seeing, and how real it is, that in like the last episode Donghyuk actually cried when YG made the announcement. They've worked hard together, and it shows.
