Anyway, so many thoughts on this episode.

I felt so bad for the newbies, i just want to hug them and pat their heads. And in typical YG trolling style there was huge contrast from their practicing to how they did at the evaluation. I was really impressed by Chanwoo tbh, he seemed so confident and he really looked like he was enjoying himself.

Poor Hanbin, he was just pissed off the whole time, but he still got the job done <3

Junhwe is kinda going from being sassy to just being outright petulant and bitchy, i don't like it :(

and Bobby BOBBBYYYYYYYYY ahhh when he started comforting Donghyuk i just lost it, HOW CAN SOMEONE BE SO SWEET??

Disappointed we have to wait another week to see Hongseok :(

The newbies...while I kind of feel bad for them...they do have to work harder and do more because they are far behind...and Team B is the one who looks bad if they can't teach them so I don't really feel bad for them

Hanbin was a bit annoyed (though they edited some pieces together of him talking about Chanwoo) but he did teach them the dance and teach his team to perform as needed...the difference at the beginning and after his hardcore training how the stage looked says it all right

Nah I'm still with Junhwe...he wants YG to know he will NOT be dropped...be angry

Bobby is the Mom Hyung...

On the preview Hongseok appears VERY UNAPPEALING...so we'll see how the actual episode goes

I feel like Hanbin told one of them to learn after the JYP/YG critique episode because after watchingJYP's dance team again it was not impressive but the flips made it seem more impressive.

Yaas Junhwe, get mad. Channel that anger into the competition and crush em. Him and Yunhyeong are imo pretty much shoe ins though.

imo there's a huge chance it'd end up being ot6+new trainee. But then again, the way YG seems to like Chanwoo so much, if he ends up liking the 3rd new trainee as well then Donghyuk's in danger.

Except you can't expect a teenager to not get mad at the new people who he perceives will potentially mess up the team he's been in for 2 years so. That's not something you can control, their reactions are perfectly normal to me. They're not making an effort to be all bff with the new kids but they're helping them nevertheless.

Plus Junhwe's anger was definitely turning towards YG toward the end of the episode so more power to him tbh.

I felt bad for Donghyuk but let's be real he's the weakest in the original 6. The contrast between his and Junhwe's voices during Mercy was ASTOUNDING. Even Chanwoo sounded better.

Bobby, on the other hand, continues to be a sweetheart.

I'm in the minority here but I don't understand why ppl give Jinhwan a hard time over his vocal like he sounds fine and well trained to me? I guess it's a matter of personal taste. I do think his problem is with his adlib, he tries but he doesn't sound confident with them. I also thinks he needs a work a little more on blending his voice with other vocals. Junhwe has a booming voice but he can adjust himself singing in a group, whereas Jinhwan sounds standoff-ish a lot of the times.

This first round of eval really proves how superior a producer Hanbin is. It all comes down to the line distribution, I think that's why Chanwoo did better than Jinhyeong to the judges. Jinhwan/Bobby's team performance felt really flat to me, I don't think they were confident with the English, and they gave too much spotlight to Jinhyeong which backfired imo.

People don't comprehend how to like their fave without putting others down...Jinhwan's vocal is fine, though it does need polishing, and he handles the vocal training for the members too. In addition he has a leadership role with Bobby in supporting Hanbin in taking care of and training the team

Yes I would say knowing which parts to give to which members was definitely a key factor in making the Mercy stage enjoyable

I do see all of those qualities in Jinhwan, in WIN as well as this show. I appreciate him on this team and he def. earned his permanent spot. He's a fine dancer too, imho. This has been said before but he gives off a very strong Taeyang vibe, and I think that factored into YG's decision making process.

I agree 100% that Jinhwan's voice itself is not for everybody. I cringe at him sometimes, too. But the vibe I get is people just plain think Jinhwan's a bad singer, and that's far from true.

Yasssss about Parris. Tbh I'm looking more forward to their dance performances they always look on point, even with the new trainees.

+1 I felt that way about Jinhwans voice during Win and didn't get the appeal but he has improved a lot.

Yunhyeong has improved vocally and seems more confident this time around--or perhaps since I was fixated on Junhoe during WIN, I didn't really pay attention to YH then? I dunno, it might be a bit of both things.
I was hoping for fuller voices from the new kids, so I don't know how I feel about them yet. Granted, we've only seen them at their first evaluation, so I'm interested to see how they'll improve (and how the newest trainee will fare).
Anyway, I hope from this point on we get see more of the six who are still vying for spots.

I'm expecting OT6+1 as well...YG is playing this survival show game very well but as long as their fans vote there won't be a problem.

I would say it's absurd but we do know people who've been put in groups last minute to debut...though not with a pre-established fanbase like TB.

It was hilarious to see Hanbin deal with the situation because we got to see Perfectionist Leader Hanbin...and to see the newbies adjust to his hardcore training...but the end result seems to show that YG was right in presuming they would train them to perform

Also, that all they're gonna show about Double B and SMTM? lol #mess.

YG is messing with TB's chemistry with two boys who end up sounding mediocre... I expected nothing from Chanwoo, but Jinhyeong disappointed. I'm gonna give them another chance because I'll blame it on the nerves and song choice, plus it's probably was extra awk with the english. :/
They're such nice boys tho, I'm starting to find Chanwoo endearing. And Jinhyeong gets brownie points for glaring at YG during the performance. xD

I can't get over how much Yunhyeong has been shining. They did not lie about him having "strong growth potential".
I was really sad for the boys after they found out 2 were getting eliminated. Even Donghyuk. Junhoe fighting~~!

I can't wait to see next episode. Hongseok sounded good from the 2 sec we heard. Hopefully he's what they need. lol@the dramatic previews. I hope there's no trouble among the boys. Funny how Hongseok looked pissy when he's been looking like an angel from all the preYG pics I've seen.

Well Hongseok rolling his eyes in the preview already has me side eyeing him back...you are going into an established team with 8 other boys with a fast track to debut...you need to win them AND the audience over

I also am pretty sure YG added Hongseok to introduce age/rank issues into Team B since everyone follows Hanbin's leadership even though he's one of the younger members. Only Jinhwan is older than Hongseok I think...

In the end...this show seems to be intended to be a constant test of Hanbin's leadership and Team B's teamwork and ability absorb knocks and keep going...which is highly fucking annoying.

Against my better judgement i watched both episodes, damn you YG for pulling me in.
After WIN i was like no moooore, but here i am.

Anyway, i have to say that i kinda liked both teams performances tbh. For whatever reason tho, while i feel like i'm supposed to like B.I's team more i think i enjoyed Bobby's a tad more.
Having said that B.I's team having Junhwe was a huge asset imo. Also from the two new members, Chanwoo did overall better too.

The one thing i'm very pleased with is Yunhyeong. I like his attitude and it feels like he has improved as well.
Not gonna comment on the weight thing lol, as if any one of those kids need to lose weight.

Ps As always the highlight for me was the group dance performance. It's my favourite thing about Team B/Ikon, and esp within YG there is space for a group like that.
Dunno about Jinhwan's voice, but i always loved the way he dances.

Honestly I feel like all of Team B gotten better since Win. I always felt like it was Bobby and B.I. carrying the group but the singers have improved a lot this time around.

But my issue with this show, netizens and even a couple here already seems so biased towards B6, I actually like the new addition of new team members competing with the old team to make it. Maybe it's cruel for the people participating because they worked hard but I agree in terms of what YG said, even if you work hard, you can still lose. To keep their drive going, I think it's best they throw in new members to tousle up the drama. Personally, I think the two new members are somewhat similar to how Team B started out so I don't expect them to be amazing. I just hope they can adapt into the group well. Chanwoo did pretty good.

I think I would like to see Junhwe make it in. He did good during his performance and he stuck out for me as well.

This. I don't really care if its B6, if some of the members can't really contribute anything outside of just being there for a couple of years.

If one of the new members has the vocals and/or ambition to improve that some of B6 lack, then good for them. Vocals was always a weak point for team b, now iKON, and they need to have at least 2 (preferably more with 7 members) strong vocals. Junhoe yeah, Jinhwan's okay, but who else?

Big Bang has Daesung for power and Taeyang. 2ne1 Park Bom, Minzy's nice too. But iKON seems much less talented in that area.

And I think the talent is more evenly spread in YG's other groups. Here, BI is doing composing, choreography, you name it. In Winner, there's really only one person who just sings, everyone else fulfills other roles and compose. This group seems centered firmly on BI and Bobby, with the rest more backup singers/dancers to showcase the main event.

Urgghhhh, I have so conflicted feelings about this. On one hand I understand people's criticism of Donghyuk's lack of (significant) development, or how the new members might just need some time to catch up in terms of skill and teamwork. On the other, I fell in love with Team B as a whole through WIN, and Donghyuk stole my heart in those unreleased clips -- so I'm hopelessly biased towards B6 :/

And I might be part of the minority, but I actually cheered when I found out Jinhwan was part of the team. Sure, I'm not a huge fan of his nasally singing either, but his technique is solid and his part-leadership is gold. Besides, I was totally sold on the trio after that WIN ep especially highlighting their friendship :P Speaking of which, Bobby <3

As for new members... Chanwoo surprised me since he seemed so bland in the beginning?? I hope Jinhyeong loosens up and improves for next time, the boy is such a cutie-pie.

Can't believe I'm doing this to myself again after WIN, btw. Does it make me a horrible person if I hope that Hongseok is as bitchy as he comes across in the previews, so that there's at least one person I won't be heartbroken about not making it into the group?

The new additions are good looking and have that personality that the regulars don't.

Junhwe and Yunhyeong shine on stage, not so much when they are off it. And Donghyuk is invisible till someone points me out..

I understand YG's playing the bad cop, but they cant afford to have any carry alongs, especially since Big Bang and 2NE1 are in trouble.
