mmmm. I don't want to sound like i'm making a big deal out of this but apparently girl groups (that aren't snsd) do it but it's so under the radar or i'd say not acknowledged by a majority of k-pop fans that it seems like only boy groups and snsd are the ones that do it. Yet.
Again, I watched the video it was distasteful, sure, and I don't mean that it should be blown up. These things happen. Like apparently A Pink have made colourist comments about Chorong, Min (miss A) saying there should be a Fei&Yubin unit because they're sexy and dark, and Yura (Girl's Day) is apparently xenophobic. There are probably other instances. I think there's a disparity and lack of material etc. because this is clearly a cultural problem that nobody is exempt from. There just isn't evidence. Or the evidence is there but fans obviously shield it and non-fans don't make a fuss.
Omg i'm talking in circles and being hesitant. I don't mean to dump this on your comment haha it's just thoughts i've had for a while.
I mean, coming from a country in which shadeism/colorism is prevalent myself tbh it doesn't surprise me either. Even I didn't think it was a big deal either until I encountered Omona was actually willing to educate myself lol. Really I mean I learn a lot from Omona tbh.
Not sure on what you were trying to say but dw bb, my biases are dicks and douches too lol ♥ Idk I was just saying.
The internet can be so useful tbh i've learnt a lot too.
I think I was just saying that when you see things about shadeism/colourism people only go after the biggest groups when a lot of idols do it but people aren't aware (wouldn't put them on a shitlist.)
I was gonna go on but i''m so bad at words omg I don't know, sorry T_T
Laughing at the part where was explaining that she acts cute to make up for her lack of fluency in korean, and then she made a comment about how she was also kinda born with it (the cuteness). And then the staff just looked blanked, and the caption said "not in agreement".
Haha, the other part was where she was trying so hard to say she wanted GQ's to be written in a cursive font in CAPS and she even drew it in the air. She kept insisting that it's still in upper case/capitalised, but the manager unni and the staff were going "no, that's lower case".
