Discharged Ji Hyun-woo rumored to split with Yoo In-na

Having completed his two-year mandatory military service, Korean actor Ji Hyun-woo was discharged from a military unit over the weekend while being greeted by hundreds of domestic and foreign fans.

“Thanks to all my fellow soldiers, commanders and cadets, I was able to finish my military service without any problems. I will quickly get resituated and greet you with a good image soon,” Ji was quoted as saying.

But asked about his romantic relationship with actress Yoo In-na who did not show up in the discharge event, Ji spared words, sparking speculation that the couple might have split up.

“That question is a bit … tough to answer,” he was quoted as saying.

The couple reportedly fell in love after starring together in historical drama “Queen In-hyun’s Man” in 2012.

Yoo’s entertainment agency denied the rumored break-up.

“Yoo In-na has a tight schedule, going across Korean and China for filming, including narration for a documentary. Although she could not attend Ji Hyun-woo’s event, they are still dating,” an official of YG Entertainment said.

Yoo is currently shooting a Chinese film called “Wedding Bible” and taking on her MC activities on KBS Cool FM’s “Yoo In Na‘s Volume Up” and OnStyle’s “Get It Beauty.”

Meanwhile, Ji is planning to return to the small screen. He is in talks to star in the new KBS 2TV Monday-Tuesday drama “Trot Lovers.”

But wasnt song hekyo and hyunbin's break up reported us them breaking up before he enlisted? And that they announced it when he was already in the army because he didnt want all discussions prior to his enlistment to be about it.

Iirc choi jiwoo got some really nasty comments for her breakup with lee jinwook while he was in service. kind of getting called a b*tch because she couldnt wait for her bf who's serving the freakin country

Yeah that's why, why wait now that he's out and has to do interviews and a drama soon? It's not the first time they were asked about it so they've had the opportunity to announce it but YIA's side denied it each time.
iirc that did happen but a lot of celeb couple have broken up this way and those comments will always be there. I think a lot thought LJW wasn't good enough for CJW to begin with, and going by their star star power, like knetz love to do, that's true now and even more so back then. CJW's a goddess while he was nobody. So I think there was some cheering as well.
And in YIA's case I think the majority is on her side because a lot didn't really like the public confession, especially right before he was going to enlist, and they had been dating for like a month before he enlisted so most expected them to break up anyway.

I never understand why people do that (call the one waiting some expletive or another). I don't even know if I could wait two years for someone, tbh. And the more I think about that public confession the more I realize how selfish it is. I liked it (and still do, even) because I like boldly declaring your feelings and wish I could do the same but yeah, he jumped the gun, lmao.

If they did break up, they probably just drifted apart. Or maybe they're on a break and will have to talk about the relationship soon. I know I'm curious about it, but I don't think I'd be asking that question during someone's 'welcome home', lol.

but aside from that probably because a lot of guys will sympathasize with ji hyun woo with their own experiences being dumped by their girlfriends during their service. like yeah, some of these girls are probably bitches, like cheated on them during their service but if the girl can't wait two years that shouldn't be something to call them out on, some people just can't handle the long distance relationships.

but i feel like even if inna dumped him people wouldn't be so hard on her about that, at least the sensible ones. if they do they likely did not like her before that either...

Probably. I don't think either of them were that popular at the time so the reaction would have been interesting. Probably somewhere between not caring or sympathetic outcry. I also don't think people would be so hard on her. I feel like they would just be embarrased for Ji Hyun Woo or something like that. Everyone was probably expecting it to happen, lolll.

They probably lost touch. I like them together but I can definitely see that happening and was kind of expecting it. It's like in Reply 1994 where they attempted a long distance relationship but both got busy and then a breakup just kind of happened. I think I would wait for Yoo In Na to say something, though, since I feel like she's the type to just tell it like it is. That's right, YG. I don't believe yooooouuuuuuu. Though I want to, lol.

Also, I liked Ji Hyun Woo's public confession (because I felt like they liked each other already) and always thought that if Yoo In Na really didn't like him she would have turned him down. I just have this image of her as this person who will not take any BS, lmao, and then laugh it off. But, after thinking about it I do see why it rubs people the wrong way. Like proposing [marriage] in public *___* The horror of it all!!! Though, I don't think he meant it with ill intent, but that type of thing is hard not to come off as selfish. Well, she got him back by publicly announcing they were together on her radio show. It seemed like he was called "Yoo In Na's Man" for a while after that which always made me laugh.
