i love this show and the kids so much, to see the little changes on the kids, seeing them grow up.

Sigh I missed three episodes of this show cos I was out on vacation. I'm surprised to see how much Haru and the twins have grown.

Although I haven't watched any in a while, I think Japanese variety shows are more open to talk about sex and such. (As I'm sure you know if you're a SMAP/Kimutaku fan according to your icon, lol.) I've always assumed that because a large part of Koreans are Christian, they're more conservative about that kind of thing, but I don't know. I just found it hilarious (I was laughing aloud throughout that whole conversation) when Shiho was talking about "trying very hard tonight."

On that same note, actually, I've noticed some people saying that Sunghoon doesn't seem very close with/ignores his wife onscreen, and although it makes me sad to watch as well, I feel like maybe he's just one of those people who is very uncomfortable showing affection publicly. Or at least I hope. It's very difficult to figure out what he's thinking sometimes during certain scenes--like the whole hotel breakfast scene, when the captions kept claiming that he was "relaxing" whereas to me he somehow looked uncomfortable with the situation.

I do think Japan's slightly more liberal than Korea. Japan ranks slightly higher than Korea on issues like gender equality, acceptance of homosexuality etc. And yeah, I agree that Christianity in Korea probably has something to do with that.

And yes, I am a big SMAP fan xD SMAPxSMAP is one of my favorite japanese tv programs. I do hear them (and other Japanese entertainers) joking about sex, and porn etc (never explicitly, but still). In Korea it's pretty rare.

I feel the same way about Sunghoon and his wife. That couldn't possibly be how they act with each other off camera, at least I hope not. And Sunghoon is so sweet with Sarang, he really seems like a nice guy, just kind of repressed and self-conscious. Shiho is the complete opposite, she's loud and outgoing, even in Korea she tries her best to talk to the other parents. She was hilarious in this episode. I laughed out loud when she said "Do you think we can ask them to remove the cameras tonight?"
