I don't see it tbh. Many girl groups like SNSD, 4minute, A-Pink, Girl's Day, Crayon Pop, Sistar/Sistar19, etc slayed last year while only EXO and a couple of more boygroups did really well. Sure, boy groups usually have higher physical sales because of their bigger fandom (aka, fangirls bulk buying) but digital charts were totally dominated by girl groups and female artists like Lee Hi or Hyori, so it's pretty balanced to me. In fact, digital sales are usually considered much more important than physical ones because these are mostly "fandom based".
