Orange Caramel’s “Catallena” music video judged inappropriate to broadcast on KBS

Orange Caramel’s music video for their recent comeback song “Catallena” was deemed inappropriate for broadcast by KBS. Pledis Entertainment released a statement saying they have filed an appeal on the decision.
KBS deemed the scenes portraying the taking of human life as trivial to be troublesome, specifically “the scene where Orange Caramel members are wrapped inside a plastic wrap is causing the problem. We will wait for the result after Pledis Entertainment edits that specific scene before reviewing our final decision.”

I guess it's nice to see them banning things for once that haven't to do with it being too 'sexy/inappropriate' (although at least that's what they're saying in the official statement -- the moment I saw that the song was about a girl I thought that might have consequences) but I agree that there are far 'better' examples to find of mvs that portray 'human life as trivial'.

I will never quite get how tv is often so tolerant of violence but so restrictive of anything to do with sex. I don't know, if I had children I would be more concerned about the guns.

Anyhow, I think the mv is humorous and nothing really to be concerned about. Also I've been playing the song a lot lately, it's really grown on me, so catchy :)

It may be because Orange Caramel are famous among elementary school children. And little children like to imitate the artists they love. They might try and lie under a huge plastic sheet, and well, accidents can happen. I dunno.. But let's hope they accept the editted version, because Orange Caramel is awesome. Hahaha.
