I started liking FT Island after hearing Lee Hongki's live and being impressed by his vocal talent. Whenever I see their new album releases, it doesn't seem like they're being promoted that much. I see that all of the members work hard so find strength... A band is so reliant on the members staying together. You have the support of your fans and the public so don't burden it all on your own.

Its pretty much obvious that FNC favor CNB than FTI. No idea why considering at their peak, FTI is more successful than CNB ever was.. Their debut year was really huge -- they win all the awards and were selling well digitally and their songs were playing everywhere.. They were the next big thing at that time -- so sad how everything turned out after that. But the quality of their music stays so I'm happy but they deserve more than this.

i think it has something to do with their company decision to promote fti in japan right at the peak of their popularity in korea. it was such a hassle move, imo, almost like jyp's case to promote wonder girls to the US, probably.

and ikr, despite all those shiz, i'm glad the boys were still active and productive with their music. i don't understand how the management system works but at this point i'd rather fti just stay in japan producing their own music in warner than staying in fnc. for real.

fti could still be popular if it wasn't for the way their company blatantly favors cn blue. i mean yea cn blue has yonghwa but once upon a time hongki used to be the it boy. their music doesn't appeal to the general masses anymore but there is still a market for them fnc just fails to market them right/has gotten lazy. fti were so awesome when they debuted.

FTI fans always saying they made all the money for FNC....when FNC debuted CNBLUE they were almost in bankrupt, weren't for CNBLUE seccessful debut FNC wouldnt exist right now, they paid their debeut thanks to CNBLUE within 6 months after their debut....they have killer schedule for Yonghwa back then,,,

FNC clearly favors CNB over FTI. It's highly annoying but it's true. FTI seems to have accepted it somewhat...though they paved the way the cookie cutter pop group gets the focus and it is what it is

At least FTI are finally being allowed to branch out instead of being restricted musically

The key difference would be in PR support for those promotions. The argument don't particularly matter though since I'm still annoyed about FTI getting am Asian Tour while CNB went on a world tour.

What PR support? CNBLUE will have a comeback this month and FNC just released teaser with no official date set yet. Weren't for SBS we wouldn't even know they had a comeback. Their latest "Present" in korea wasn't even promoted and doesnt have an MV, I'm Sorry had like a month of promotion while FTI had 2 comebacks last year, CNBLUE barely appeared on interviews during their promo cycle, when that pann was created to taint CNBLUE making people believe they had buybacks during REBLUE FNC didn't even said a word...fans were the ones that had to clear CNBLUE's name, and don't even get me started on how FNC dealed with CNBLUE legal problem and Yonghwa out of Heirs complete PR FIASCO...and the list get's longer. CNBLUE doesn't need enemies with a PR team like the one FNC has.

PS: FTIsland not having a World tour could be related to the lack of demand, at least in Latin America they dont have many fans.. plus CNBLUE world tour wasnt a complete world tour, they didn't visit Europe.

As a Primadonna with an irrational and illogical prejudice against CNBlue for this very reason, I can't help but feel vindicated by the netizen comments. But hate is hate and neither group deserves any of it since both groups are talented and hardworking. They both have different musical colour and tone, especially with the direction of FTI's recent stuff. If there's one good thing to be gleaned from this it's that FNC is letting FTI explore different and perhaps more challenging - to the average pop listening audience member - musical avenues as compared to CNB.

What is a crime though is how often Hongki's voice is overlooked. He is one of the best vocalists in pop I have ever heard and his work in FTI's earlier albums especially in terms of emotional depth and strength is just stunning. IMO I don't think anyone in CNB can hold so much as a candle to him, but then again I'm biased.

they are moving slowly but surely away from an idol image.a transition needed to be from an idol band to a rock band :) i think people do recognized Hongki as one of the young great vocalist in Korea (or even in the world..lol bias opinion), he got people like Im Jae Bum to certified that :)
FT have a humble dream performing at rock festivals in Korea. it's a simple and honest but an amazing dream. just like them.

same! i don't give a shit about FNC either. as long our boys are recognized for their talents and not just a hype, i don't give a shit anymore. not like their sales are bad either. in 1 epi of CDD111, the financial guy form FNC said FT and CNB are the major income for FNC, therefor they are not a flop if they can bring money to their agency. honestly, i don care if they only sold 5 albums because their talents are forever. people can say what ever they want about FT but they can't say FT don't have talents :)

I really don't get this, it's not FTI don't release songs, sending them to Japan at their height was dumb but that has nothing to do with CNB. Why would either groups need enemies when the fans are fighting all the time.
