JYJ’s Junsu and Jaejoong Reported To Start Their Mandatory Military Service This Year

JYJ fans everywhere must be shedding tears at the news that not one but two of the members will be starting their mandatory military service this year. Junsu, 26, and Jaejoong, 27, both plan on requesting general enlistment in the army by the end of the year, with next February being reported as the latest that the duo will enlist by. According to their agency, C-Jes Entertainment, “As the military service is a sensitive issue for male celebrities, as they can receive the harsh criticism, both men have decided to go properly.“. It was also revealed that even though the third member of JYJ, Yoochun, is now 27 he has no immediate plans to enlist for his military service but he does plan to sign up soon.

Reps from the entertainment company were also quoted as saying “All three members of JYJ plan to enlist for service as it’s something all South Korean men should have to do” . If your not familiar with the South Korean army service, all eligible males between the ages of 18 and 35 are legally required to enlist in the military for a span of 21 to 24 months. The length of service depends on which branch of the military you serve in. Yoochun has been told by the South Korean government that he will be assigned as a public service worker, the same as Heechul of Super Junior was, due to his asthma when he does enlist for his military service.

Jaejoong may not be able to put his enlistment off for nearly as long as Junsu owing to the fact that he has already received several draft notices that he was able to postpone due to his international commitments with the group. “Because [Jaejoong] has frequent performances abroad and other schedules, we’re currently adjusting his schedule” the C-JeS Entertainment representative was reported as saying.

Junsu nor Jaejoong have reportedly made a statement yet concerning their impending enlistment but you can be sure that they will be asking their fans to wait for them with open hearts.

Of course we're prepared this... Jaejoong's already slowly shaving off his hair already hah! (His whole life has been a shampoo commercial. Not sure how he actually feels about shaving his head XD)

I've waited Kangta, Hwanhee and Lee Min Woo from their military service, so I guess I'm mentally prepared for TVXQ and Jaejoong enlistment, but it's still makes me weep silently in a dark corner every time Jaejoong asks fans to not forget him. ((
On the brighter side - I hope Jaejoong will use all time he has before enlistment wisely and have as much solo activities as possible.

Writer is right that Jae may not be able to put off his enlistment as long as Junsu since this year is THE limit for 85'ers & early 86'ers. Junsu can def hold out 'till early next year.
