I'm confused. Weren't netizens pressed as fuck about SHINee winning artist of the year on Melon Awards? Anyway, I'm happy everyone is acknowledging their hard work and talent but if this award is only based on physical sales it was expected that EXO was going to win. I also read another comment on tumblr saying that SHINee are the DiCaprio of k-pop (lots of talent, not enough recognition) and I think it's a good analogy but as much I'd love they were much more popular I'd still take flawless music and performance over massive sales tbh.

That thing with Hyeri is so freaking stupid. She was particularly exhausted and sick on top of that, and they make her perform. What for? I am not a Girl's day stan but I doubt she's the most popular, and she doesn't even have PARTS in the song. It already annoyed me that they didn't give them a song that allowed her to sing, but even then they keep pushing her until the only member that is not needed faints. Geez.

LOL @ int'l fandom claiming SHINee is "underappriciated", yet korean fandom insists that b/c they didn't win a daesang the integrity of the award itself must have lowered, they've won the popularity award every year since debut (sans 2011 w/no Korean promotions to speak of), and every editorial I've read so far focuses on SHINee's awards/performances EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE THE HIGHEST HONORS. *screaming*
