The Gaon Chart is the national chart of South Korea and is intended to be the equivalent of Oricon in Japan and Billboard in the United States.

where did gaon get those download numbers? up until last week according to them baechigi only had about 1.7 million now there's almost 9 million?? sistar had 1.6 million, leessang had 1.6, etc. did they multiply them all by 5 for some reason? lol

imo their songs tend to be more appealling to the public by being more well produced. since a lot of fangirls will buy whatever their oppas release (reason why boygroups always slays physical charts), some companies don't really put an effort for buying them songs that's why they always sound generic or the same :| shinee's dream girl, beast's fiction and some big bang songs are examples of different well produced songs of famous boygroups, that's why they do/did well in digital charts

Amaaazing how 4min is above SNSD!!! Hopefully this means SM will do a double take when picking their title tracks, ha!

Soshi has physical and digital sales while other artist have either one of them, and they were the only SM act to crack the digital ranking so IGAB was a hit regardless of what people think about the song, and when the half year ranking for physical sales comes out they'll be like 3rd and the highest female group or solo, so i don't think SM will do a double take especially when EXO, Shinee and GG will come on top of the physical charts.

Oh, I'm perfectly aware of this. But I feel SM is resting on laurels when it comes to SNSD. For a company's top act, they deserve better songs. And this is coming from someone who quite enjoys IGAB.

Yeah, the song was a hit bc it was a SNSD song but look how other girl groups are starting to catch up with them.

Trust me, it wouldn't hurt EXO to get a somewhat radio friendly song for their next comeback/follow up song.
