Aww I'm gonna miss my weekly dose of these couples. Hongki and Mina both looked so sad when they read about it being time to say goodbye, I thought they were gonna cry :( But the were really cute in this ep, I loved Mina's song!! And the piggy backs both ways and the fact that their shoes fit each other perfectly lol I noticed they kept them on for the rest of the date, Hongki loved her shoes haha. Poor Gui Gui crying so much awwww. Her surprise performance was great, she is such an awesome girl, a real ball of sunshine. She sure put a big grin on my face ^__^
i'm not ready to have Hongki and Mina end!!! i adore them like i adored Lettuce Couple or AlShin. Hongki and Mina together is just too amazing, i hope (due to their mutual friendships as well) they stay in touch with each other.

ITA they should be upgraded to a regular couple. how crazy would it be if they were brought back as a couple omg! they r legit the BEST couple the show has had in a LONG ass time. really goes to show that idol on idol is so fuckin' boring. hongki and mina r just refreshing enough to thoroughly enjoy watching without worrying about crazy fans.

Looking back on their relationship, I feel like Hongki is sometimes like my dad he in the way he says stuff I know you should never say to your wife let only to any woman. They both do things that make up for it and you can tell they really love their wives. I'm hoping Hongki and Mina continue to be friends and keep in contact with each after the show ends, and someday down the line they start dating irl. I think they would have a happy life together.
Gui Gui was adorable screaming on the roller coaster and with her surprise event. When is she not? as much as Taec and Gui Gui's personalities didn't match, I think there's a friendship between them. You can see it well in the BTS, and I'm glad Taec decided to something romantic in a way he didn't get a chance to do before. Gui Gui's going to bawl next ep, and I'll probably tear up too.
I was surprised that you watched the show! I never watched WGM before (only bits before) but Hongki & Mina ones is the first time for me to fully committed on watching the show. ^^;
Why were you surprised I watched the show? I stated watching Goumga couple (love them!) and watched parts of other couples. Hongki and Mina are such <3. I want to believe they really do feel something for each other.
IDK, I just surprise I guess. Many fans sometime took the show way too seriously imo. Why is it matter if they have feelings for each other? As long as its entertaining to watch, it's a good show. ^^; I want to believe they really do feel something for each other too since they really look like they adore each other very much. ^^
The global couple made me love WGM again. Emma is so bubbly & her laughter is so infectious, she's really the opposite of Taec who's quite staid. But still I love their oppa- dongsaeng chemistry. Hongki and Mina seem really comfortable like a real couple I love them. Next after it ends, a movie with Mina and Emma in a multicultural couples rom com. That would be really daebak.

I usually try to stay away from the creepy fangirl habit of RP shipping, but dang if Hongmina isn't tempting. They're such a contrast from Taecgui, who seem like consummate professionals -- Gui Gui is perfect as the aegyo girlfriend (you can tell it's an act because she sounds different in her confessionals in Mandarin) and Taecyon basically seems like he's going through a checklist ("Okay, now let's go on this safari ride. Okay, now let's name three things we like about each other.")
But in between the show-mandated activities, Hongmina seem like they actually got to know one another as individuals. My favorite moment for them was actually their honeymoon trip, when they argued, Mina cried and then they had that heart to heart in the gondola where they admitted to one another that they weren't their ideal types and then Hongki encouraged Mina to speak in Japanese more because it "felt like the real her." Gah, my feels!
Actually, in the last few episodes I have sort of felt their relationship cool a bit. Namely, it feels like Hongki is trying to reinforce a friend box for the two of them (for example, all the high fiving in this episode). I don't think he's trying to friendzone Mina in a mean way, but more like it's a (perhaps subconscious) method of protecting both of them from the hurt of having to say goodbye?
General question about WGM (I'm new to the show): I can see that it's pretty much fanservice for RP shipping, but I've read some pairings that seem pretty clearly, erm, Will and Grace. Most notably, "Adam couple" seems to be one of the most popular WGM pairings, but Jo Kwon -- for real?
I wrote the above yesterday, before watching the Taecgui segment, and OMG could Taecyon be more on autopilot? He actually made a checklist of "romantic" "activities" for their "breakup" (all while poor Guigui was sitting there weeping). I don't blame him for not having chemistry with her; the two are simply incompatible, but the contrast between Taecgui and Hongmina is striking, that's all.
Hongki is similarly dry-eyed (and also totally embarrassed by his wife's public performance), but with Hongki I get a sense that he's trying to resist his nature (which is to be kind of a player) for Mina's sake, whereas with Taecyon I get the sense that he's trying to play the husband for the show's sake. Not judging either one, just an observation!
