Park Si-hoo refuses to turn in cell phone

Charged with alleged rape, Park Si-hoo submitted his phone call log and text messages as evidence.

Pureme, Park's legal authority has submitted text messages and Kakaotalk contents as well as the call log between Park's junior actor Kim and accuser 'A' to the police as evidence. The Kakaotalk was revealed by the media.

The police requested Park Si-hoo's and 'A"s cell phone to be submitted. This was to find out the truth of 'forced intercourse'. 'A' submitted her cell phone on the 3rd but Park Si-hoo refused this with the reason being, 'protection of privacy'. Park's lawyers say, "We have submitted everything the police asked for and we can submit more in the future". About 'A' revealing her Kakaotalk contents to the media, "It was only a part of the whole text and it was to stop speculations about herself".

In the text revealed by Park Si-hoo are the contents of a conversation between 'A' and Kim. After 'A' reported Park Si-hoo of rape on the 15th around 8:37PM she continued to text Kim. She asked Kim to call her around 8:33 and 'A' also said, "I don't feel good still. I hope I'm not pregnant" around 11:57PM.

I sort of get his privacy claim but also don't. On one hand the kakao talk convos are the ones between A and his hoobae (the other dude). So, his phone doesn't really involve in that. On the other hand since the case is public as hell right now, it's a shot to his character I guess he's willing to take but will sway the minds of people.

but, he is the one who started to reveal a private convo.
He would go out there digging up A's kakaotalk messages, when he doesn't want anyone to see his own private convo (with K for example?)...
Plus he should obey to the police, like A did. No one asked for his opinion. He's acting like he can pull out his priviledge and expect no one to tell him he can't.

There's something wron with this guy. One moment, all the evidences point to him and he refuses to go to the police if the case is not transferred to other station. Then he finally decides to go to the police and then the evidences all point out to A. Now he refuses to hand over his phone... Wait for the day he hand over his phone. I'm not sding with the girl. Yea, as if we're living in a universe where the legal system is perfect, ethical and functions the way it was intended. If I were a suspect and the police wanted anything from me, they'd have to get a court order or wait until trial for discovery, otherwise they'd be getting nothing from me.

I wouldn't trust this police station with my private phone logs either. Who knows maybe he has nekkid photos of MGY or other scandalous conversations with other celebs with the way this station handles privacy it could turn into a big PR nightmare for everyone. Maybe get a neutral secretive 3rd party to release the appropriate conversations.

I would assume that he has many stuff inside the phone, so even if the police wanted to investigate this matter 'only', I do think they will still go through the entire phone. When they find something else in it, whether it's something bad or not, and if irresponsible party leaks it to the media, he's doomed.

Shady... that just makes me think he has other bad stuff in his phone because lbr some naked pictures or compromising conversations or whatever are not as bad compared to rape accusations, so if he has nothing to hide and it could help his case then he should've hand over his phone, and him not doing it just makes me think she is not only guilty on this case but also has many other crimes to hide that could be unveiled if they investigate his phone.
