Actor Park Si-hoo arrives at the Nokbeon Police Station in western Seoul for questioning on Friday.
Police plan to summon actor Park Si-hoo for further questioning on charges that he raped a 22-year-old aspiring actress. "We did not set a specific time to summon him and the next round of questioning may take place privately as he wishes", a police spokesman said.
Park finally appeared for questioning on Friday accompanied by his attorney and was grilled for about nine hours. He had repeatedly failed to obey a summons in the previous two weeks.
On his way out of the police station afterwards, Park told throngs of reporters camped outside, "Although there is much for me to tell you, all I can say now is that I responded dutifully to the police summons and the truth will prevail".
Park's defense team also submitted to police records of text messages sent by his accuser via messaging service Kakao Talk.
A female friend of the aspiring actress apparently sent her a text message advising her to either "get a lot of money" from the actor or "bring him down".
Park's accuser allegedly responded, "I'm going to show them how well I can act by looking like the victim".
But police said they intend to use the Kakao Talk records merely as reference, and other messages actually support the accuser's claims. "Park has yet to present evidence showing that the sex was consensual", a police spokesman said.
Police have come under fire for shoddy investigation since it was revealed that they did not bother to check the text messages in the two weeks since the probe began. Only one week's worth of messages are saved on the Kakao Talk main server, and Park's lawyer, rather than the police, had sought a warrant to obtain the records.

So. We had all this media coverage about the police finding compromising Kakaotalk messages, completely ignoring the messages that confirm the lawsuit? And all that given by Park Shi Hoo's law firm? That the validity wasn't even confirmed by the police? I see, I see. Anyone has another article talking about it?

Jesus Christ on a stick.

were you commenting on PANN by any chance?
I saw a similar comment made there and the disgusting crazy PSH fans and other pigs were calling the OP all sort of vicious, misogynist shit :(.
My friend and I were going through some comments and posts yesterday and we saw some screen caps about a message PSH's management sent to K asking her to 'kindly cooperate' because otherwise her career might get affected 'if she didn't act properly'. IDK that sounds a little like blackmailing to me. :|

Some Koreans just love to tear someone down because they aren't "proper" on the surface.

Date: 2013-03-05 05:40 am (UTC)I call bullshit on at least 90% of what PSH is saying now, because the first things that came out, plus the CCTV (and someone here said it was common in Korea to piggyback drunk girls to their homes/love hotels like that but let me tell you is not true...), as well as the missing kakaotalk messages and the e-mails his people sent to K and A after the news broke, they all point out he's guilty.
If he is innocent well God help him tbh, and hopefully he will learn how to act not guilty, because everything points out to the fact that he indeed had sexual intercourse with A without her consent, if it wasn't for those few kakaotalk messages released and apparently out of context and fabricated as well, he would be in deeper shit than he is right now.
this whole thing has been handled really poorly and it's really upsetting idk why I keep on reading stuff regarding this case, hoping things will get better, but to no avail.

Date: 2013-03-05 06:26 am (UTC)It's common.
The missing kakaotalk messages don't really add much to the story more than what the few that they released already said.
The problem is, she first claimed that she was passed out for 12 hours and woke up and discovered that she had been raped. But the second time she claimed she saw him with a condom on sitting over her. Then she claimed that K raped her too. Then she claimed PSH raped her twice. Then the text messages make it seem like she was aware of what happened - at least she says "she made the biggest mistake of her life" and she is "sorry for not protecting K". And she was like "T-T T-T It was so surprising [to be in bed with PSH] LOL..." which could seem like she woke up next to him and didn't know what happened= no consent. But the constant LOLs are weird. Apparently K wanted to sleep there too on the same bed but it was too small so he went out. But he lied about drinking because apparently he had some alcohol. Of course how all three of these people got so drunk that they went to bed immediately off of two bottles of soju is so mind-blowingly suspicious.
K told he didn't know they would drink like that. And then he told her not to drink like that again and that he wouldn't drink anymore either. But he was the one she asked to carry her up there.
It's a big mess and people keep changing their stories. They are all suspicious at this point. PSH did a lot of suspicious things to begin with, though he maintains the same story. A keeps changing what happened in her claims, B also screwed up by sharing a story that further made A look like a liar and the whole situation with wanting more money made her look worse, and then K also lied and also didn't take care of A well enough in that situation. So it's all fucked.
Not to mention the police have been ridiculous on this. Everyone should have been called in for questioning immediately after charges were filed and should have been held. Not extremely familiar with Korean laws, but that would have made the most sense.
