D-Unit’s second album will be released on March 4th! It will apparently contain a total of 22 tracks.

I don't see the point in this. D-Unit is great as is. They are all talented, so why drag them down with someone who isn't lol. Still looking forward to the album.

I feel like members constantly changing makes it really hard for fans to latch on to the group, especially if their favourite member leaves etc. Just doesn't feel like a good idea business-wise? Especially for a rookie group.

yep. after school is the best example... they are quite successful even with that concept of theirs cause they debuted EARLIER~ when rookies don't debut like mushrooms..

A lot of Block B's last album was done by him, from what I see

He's been writing a lot of Block B's songs throughout their career, but the ones he specifically produced for commercial release were mostly in the latest album "Blockbuster". Mnet had him do a "producer's journal" to explain the songs he did for their Blockbuster album, translations here: http://bontheblock.tumblr.com/post/34009131745/news-121019-zico-personally-tells-the-story so I'm guessing those are the ones he produced.

He and Park Kyung have made quite a few mixtapes and singles (separately and together) that they've been releasing for free (they uploaded it to mediafire and tweeted the links) There was a page with a list of ALL of Zico's mixtapes but somehow I can't find it anymore, but bontheblock's audio tag has pretty much all of it: http://bontheblock.tumblr.com/tagged/audio its in separate posts though (Nacseo/낙서 is Zico's old ID/stagename)

I think this: http://fuckyeahkyung.tumblr.com/mixtapes covers a lot of the mixtapes Zico and Kyung have made, but they sometimes release random one-off singles (like the recent Valentines song by Kyung) so to answer your question, the actual amount of songs Zico has written/produced that have been 'released' are...a lot ^_^"

Yup, that's true, but I'm guessing being able to fit your own style of rap onto a beat is also a coveted talent for rappers? I suppose most of those mixtape songs are back when his focus was mainly just rapping, even though he's grown a lot over the years. And I don't know much about the process of creating and releasing a song but I think being a producer requires different skills than a songwriter.

He's had experience behind the console so if D-Unit's boss thinks he's good enough then we'll just have to wait and see the results of that trust ^^

source is nate? this is lifted directly/verbaitm from d-units.tumblr.com.... the actual korean source is osen anyway wth. also the 22 tracks thing was sth lost in translation from d-business to the press. they actually mean that they will have 22 tracks total from debut to this second album. 9 from the first album and 13 total from the second.
