As the "wholesome girl makeup" of f(x)'s Sulli, who has most recently been selected as Etude House's model, became a topic of interest the related product is gaining much popularity and receiving attention.

I love it! I'm very pale w/pink undertones and their green-toned base helps cover up my redness a lot while making my skin look and feel really smooth. It's not cakey either, which is nice.

Makeup and base-wise I'd say yes, but their skin products leave much to be desired and have caused me to break out. Their nail polish is cheap but they supply a lot of unique shades and colours so they're fun if you have a nice top coat!

Does anybody else have any good bb cream/general makeup recommendations (from etude or otherwise)? Also online sites from which to purchase them? I'm korean but I just never got around to using the korean brands which is a shame bc western brands haven't really been working for me and wow the packaging looks really cute.

depend on your skin type. For example, I have a combination skin with very oily T-zone. I've tried the Skin79 triple-vita BB cream SPF 50 (or something like that, with orange-colored bottle) and Etude Precious Mineral Sun SPF 50. Skin79 is heavier than the Etude one, though the coverage is kinda similar (medium) and both have yellow-undertones. They were okay for awhile, but about 15 days to a month, they started to break me out and after 6 hours my face will look kinda "melt".
So now I'm switching to water-based BB cream. Now, I'm trying out Skin food Red Orange Jelly BB Cream SPF 20 and L'egere shiny pearl water drop BB cream (it's said to have SPF 26). Both of them are very easy to blend and doesn't feel heavy on skin, but the coverage is low-mid. The oil control is quite good though. After 4 hours, I only need to blot the area around my nose and a bit on my forehead.
But whatever BB cream you're using, you still need to set them with a good face powder. I'm using the palgantong theatrical powder now, and I'm happy with the result so far (have been using it for about two weeks).
So, that's my short review. I'm sure you can find more detailed one with pics on google XD

Here's the list in order of appearance (lol)

- Etude baby choux base in peach tone (there's also mint which is green and berry which is a very light pink? I believe it works the same as lavender base)

- Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream (there's a wide range of tones)

- Etude Sweet Recipe Cookie Pact (she's using it in Almond Chip Cookie which is the lighter tone)

- Etude Sweet Recipe Chocolate eyes (eye shadow set) and she applies it with the Choco Sitck eye shadow brush

- Etude Tear Drop liner in tone #1

- Espoir ultimate Feather mascara (this product isn't Etude House and I just bought it here in Korea and I freaking love it!)

- Etude Sweet Recipe cupcake all over color in blueberry cheesecake (this is a cream/gel product that works as blush, lip tint and eye shadow cream)

- Etude Sweet Recipe cupcake all over color in Peach sugar cake

- Etude Sweet Recipe Candy stick lipgloss in Orange Candy.

Damn youuu. The lightest BBcream available where I am is medium-light and it's still too dark for me, I always have to mix it with Lush's lighter pigments :(

opinion about this line and Espoir Feather Mascara (the mascara used in this video)

This line is freaking cute and the current bomb here in Korea.

I bought the gel eyeliners, both are lovely shades of browns and I love them because they are very long lasting and blend really nice.

I also tried their cupcake all over color which is a blush/eye shadow/ lip gloss all in one, I bought them in peach and strawberry but only use them as cream blush (they work pretty well in cold weather and don't fade as blush at least, I'm not sure how they will work in a warmer weather).

Then I bought the baby choux in mint because I wanted to try it since it was the rage of the line, and it is really smooth and not heavy at all, almost like a mousse. I think it's really nice, but personally I need a base/concealer with a more wholesome consistency because I need more coverage (I'm 27), so I think it works better for teens and girls in their early 20s, or when you only need a light concealer imo.

I didn't try the gloss Sulli used in the video but I bought the lipstick from this line and they are really cute and don't wear off easily unlike other etude lipsticks (these are called dear my jelly lips).

Overall, this line is very colorful and I think the quality is quite an upgrade compared to previews lines, great for spring imo.

I want to mention that the Espoir Feather Mascara is also the rage here in Korea, I'm not sure how new this line is but lately I've seen it a lot in InStyle Korea and everyone is talking about it. The volume and length its quite outstanding, but what really makes it stand out for me is how the mascara sets once its fully dry. It's like your eyelashes multiplied and they look very light but full, and the finished look is kind of matte and slightly ash-y, so it looks like you naturally have long and full eyelashes as if you never applied any mascara. IDK if that makes sense, if it doesn't I can take a picture hahaha.

I don't usually recommend ETUDE make up (Except for their bb cream) but I think recently they have step up their game and the product are really good imo.

i LOVE etude house's eyeshadow primer. i've used UDPP before but i'm never going back to that now that i can get something just as good for like 1/3 the price.

the thing about etude house is the packaging is so adorable and when i walk into the store i just want everything. i mean just look at this!!
