JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong’s Mother Talks Divorce, Suicide Attempts and Recovery

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong’s mother, Oh Seo Jin, will be on televion to share her life story as an advocate for ‘Korea’s Keeping the Family’ campaign group.

Her stories will be presented on MBN True Life Theatre February 15 episode.

Oh Seo Jin is the chairman of the board for Korea’s Keeping the Family campaign group, which actively advocates mending relationships and preventing families from breaking. She has published books and lectured on topics of healing and renewing of family relationships.

The chairman has had her own share of sufferings and she will be sharing her life of overcoming the gloomy past.

She will cover her struggles of going through two divorces and several suicide attempts. The story of her unavoidable separation with her oldest son, Kim Jae Joong will also be revealed.

MBN True Life Theatre is a show sending message of love and hope by covering real life stories of people overcoming their struggles.

I don't even like Jaejoong but I think you are making a strawman argument.

We don't even know what this group or association is about. The comment below yours picks out its mission statement, it seems to be an anti-divorce group. That's not a good thing, furthermore she can't possibly be a spokesperson for that, she's an example of why people need to divorce at times.

I don't see why she should be chairing an association about the family either, she hasn't got any qualifications pertaining to this. Her degrees are in business.

I think it depends on the perspective you're viewing it from. I get both povs as a Jaejoong stan myself.

and i can't help but feel that she using jae for fame?
tho i don't think it - jae seems close to her hell the boy doesn't talk abt his birth dad so that's obvs enough lol and he's taken family photos with her and his step-siblings (that first cap is frm those photos)

but compared to his adopted parents/family, she seems rly high key every time she appears on tv? or well she gets more opportunities to use that? i mean, his adopted sisters has his pictures PLASTERED all over their photo studio (lol) but that's normally tho? and jae even volunteered to take more photos there to help the business along.

im not trying to be heartless because ik she's properly suffered when she realized that she accidentally gave her son up for adoption. imagine the fear she felt when she returned to the neighbour/lady that she dropped her son off to and find out that they've moved and no one knows where the hell they are. and she's trying to help others, aka single mothers, with the whole providing for their children issue. so props for her rly

It sounds like those "Marriage supporting" organizations in the US, that just hate on anything non-traditional. I feel like the underlying tone of this will be "don't divorce and don't give away your baby it's wrong". But those are just my assumptions.

Obviously Jaejoong isn't speaking out against her. If he really disliked what she was doing, don't you think he would have stopped her already or made statements?

Fact is, people want to judge a woman for making a hard decision and suffering as a result and then they want to bash her for trying to help other women learn from her story and help other women make a more informed decision.

Not saying how I feel on the matter. Just pointing out that your logic can be reversed. If Jaejoong approved of what she was doing and felt defensive of his birth mother in regards to the criticism I'm sure he's aware she's receiving, wouldn't he speak out? Just because he doesn't say anything doesn't mean he approves it either. :)
