The problem this subunit has is its timing. EXID are far from being an established group, they are rookies who debuted under a small company with only very little success. Hardly anybody knows their name right now. At this point it would be wise to promote with all the strongest elements of the group combined and LE clearly has a lot of things to offer that could make EXID stand out from the rest of the girl groups currently promoting.
(This post is super old and now that the full song is out I can say that there's indeed something interesting missing in both the subunit's song itself and their performance. A rap part could've saved it but oh well...)
And lol, I don't even feel in a position to defend CL but it wasn't her who got 2 solo singles. That was Bom. CL didn't get to appear in Etude House commercials. That was Dara. The list goes on. Throwing shade with that argument of yours is just ridiculous. 2NE1 have always been about each of the 4 girls getting to shine.
They debuted around Feb last year, actually. When Sistar19 came out, it was before Sistar's 1year anniversary also, so I don't see the problem here. The thing is, I don't think Solji and Hani have strong ~presence like Hyorin and Bora tbh. But they're both my faves from Exid so I wish them luck.
Ah, thanks for the correction. But yeah, I wanted to say that I feel like they haven't really made their roots (EXID as a whole) so that's why I'm kind of iffy about it.
I love the both of them too, but I love Solji's vocals the best though. Kinda wish LE was included, but maybe she's writing more songs? Hopefully? IDK...
everybody knows Bora lacks talent in singing (and sometimes rapping). I'm no stan but she stands out to me simply cuz of her looks tbh. imo she's pretty and doesn't look like the average skinny korean beauty. plus she's got a nice bubbly personality. and I guess you can say all this stuff about a dozen other kpop girls, but idk, she just gets my attn lol.
