Valentines day, ah I hate it but secretly love it at the same time.
Last year I was dating this awesome guy and I was all happiness, rainbows and sunshines and he actually broke up with me in the most romantic SHITTY day of the year. His excuse was that he did not know it was V-day. Sigh. I was this close to actually stuff his face with the chocolate I bought and strangle him with the ribbon.

Now I hate V-day and everyone knows it. But secretly I still love it and will probably end up eating ice cream while watching some romantic movie and be all pathetic and sad.

The best valentine years for me were during elementary school when we used to set up mailboxes and everyone would make cards for the whole class. I remember kids specifically making nicer more "expensive" ones for their best friends.
Now these days, I only look forward to Valentines day for the sale on chocolate the following day.

I love the idea of making Valentine's as a class! It's very inclusive of all kids, regardless of whether they're able to afford to buy fancy Valentine's from the store. Such a nice idea!

I've never done much for Valentine's Day, I'm not even sure what my boyfriend and I did last year. Now we are at university and it's harder to just do whatever we want with our busy schedules.
There is a popular sweets delivery service on campus and I decided this year to have a Valentine package be sent to his dorm (literally two blocks away WHATEVS). It's filled with two dozen Butterscotch cookies (his fav, still gross), chocolate covered strawberries, a balloon, and a gallon of milk.
I asked for a message to be added as well:

i don't care about valentine's day but my bf does, so instead of sitting at home like any other day, i'll have to drive my lazy ass 1 hour to see him. i'm going over to his work to help/distract him during the day. and then we're going to enjoy a nice dinner while watching big bang theory and parks & rec. i also got him very romantic gifts, a batman knife and darkly dreaming dexter.
