[Netizenbuzz Update] CNBLUE/FNC CLEARED of buyback speculations.

Netizenbuzz did a follow up on the buying back rumors that were posted last week in this post:


[UPDATE 2/6] Gaon has just released the numbers for the month in question that will hopefully settle some of the ongoing debates and speculations, thanks to a few readers who brought it up.

As provided in the screencaps below, CNBLUE's album sales on Hanteo clock in at 75,3xx units, while on Gaon, they clock in at 95,949 units. By the formula, they are right on the Gaon > Hanteo scale and so there should be no reason for further speculation of buybacks.

There has been no Pann post on it updating netizens of the numbers (and I don't really expect there to be one since netizens never cover their tracks) but I'll look around for anything else that might clarify the matter further. I've already seen several CNBLUE articles where the top netizen comments (less than +50) were accusing them of buybacks so I suppose the damage is already done to some extent.

This is an older Pann post that tries to debunk the buyback speculations that I'll include:

That just goes to show that people shouldn't jump to conclusions and point fingers when there's only speculations with ill intentions.

Even though I didn't really read up on this, I'm glad they got cleared of these charges. Overall it seems like the members of CN Blue are decent guys and I want them to succeed.

i think they need that new building, taking aside FNC Academy in Gangnam and Hongdae,their previous headquarter was only one floor above a shabu shabu restaurant

Han Sajangnim is a stubborn guy, he always did things his way but he loves his artists

I hate a love/hate relationship with him...sometimes his management skills are very lacking, specially in the PR department. After he dropped all that money for his new super fancy building they started releasing a lot of stuff.. i guess he needs to earn all that money back because he spent A LOT of money with AOA and it didn't go that well.

ikr, FNC sucks with promotions,especially for the long run
and he made some mistake here and there
e.g one of his wrong decision was when he shipped ft island to japan right after their successful debut, if he let them to continue promoting in Korea, they'll able to sustain their popularity there

AOA got the wrong promotion,he should opt for a full girl group or a full band instead of making them half/half and transform whenever needed

Yes, it's very normal for them to sell this much...reason why a lot of people were confused by that rumor to begin with. They sold a bit more than their last mini album but not by much.

I'm glad you posted this and that it was cleared up. TBH I didn't care about the management or rankings/sales as much as I did about the guys working so hard only to be caught up in speculations. I really hope they continue to do well in this round of promotions despite all the pressure and apparent negativity.

That's why i posted this, Yonghwa said he risked his life with this album...they all worked hard and prepared a lot for this comeback so it made me sad that they were caught in that ridiculous rumor created by pressed people from other fandoms who have a lot of time on their hands. In the end, FNC and CNBlue were both vindicated of that ridiculous rumor.

The whole post made my head hurt at how reaching it was. To claim CNB has no fanbase is incredibly dumb since all their records have sold over 100k, this album was sold out too. Just pressed stans angry over their MuBank win. Let's not forget at how the Sistar accusations began to get thrown around after they won too. haters gonna hate.

Another point being brought up was their MuBank win and i need to clear it up, CNB had high broadcasting points because their section of Gag Concert had 29% ratings, while the show averaged 19%. So yeah their points weren't fake or fixed or whatever illuminati crap was being thrown around.

This is so stupid.. I mean ive been going for two or three weeks in a row to music shows and let me tell you.. Cnblue has a huge huge fan base.. Most of their fans are older japanese fans and they buy everything and come all the way just to see them perform... And to buy tickets to their concerts is as hard as trying to buy for dbsk or beast, so this speculation is totally stupid to me....
