no offense, but i do not see why that previous post should not have been allowed through. it was perfectly newsworthy (at least, from what i've learnt about newsworthiness as a journalism major), as is this follow up story. and i don't see how those guess who or who wore it better posts are any more newsworthy than this. not to say that those posts aren't enjoyable, but if we're going to get nit-picky about newsworthiness then shouldn't there be at least some level of consistency between the posts that are allowed and those that are deemed not 'newsworthy' enough?

and btw, it was mentioned when i first tried to post this that fan made things are not considered news, but... i see posts with fan taken pictures of events all the time? idk. perhaps you guys should come up with a definition for 'fanmade things' (among other things) and go by that, because from what i've observed so far, the coordination between the mods of this comm seems to be a bit lacking.

just some feedback, don't take it the wrong way! i really do enjoy this comm.

Guess who and who wore it better posts are basically staples of the They Didn't posting system. It's more of a grandfathered aspect, so to speak. Kind of like Page 6 or blind items. (:

i understand that, i just... don't like the fact that posts like that which are fun and not exactly news (i do love reading them and i hope they stick around, really) are accepted when something like this took me at least two tries to post. it just doesn't seem fair to me. it's like starting a dieting regime and saying you'll still eat potato chips because you've always eaten potato chips. =/

i suppose omntd isn't as much a proper citizen journalist effort and is more for fun, being fandom and all (but that just brings up my previous point about being nit picky about posts).
