Fans have been wondering what Ailee has been working on ever since she tweeted a photo from the recording studio.

The photo has fans guessing that the singer may be gearing up for another release after “I’ll Show You” and its follow-up song “Evening Sky“.

i love her voice so much, and girl can sing like no one else, but i feel like sometimes she (along with hyorin) goes to mariah's and christina's school of over singing. like they have the need to show how powerful their voices are and how many notes they can hit and end up doing unnecessary grunts and ad libs.

Ailee is miles better than Hyorin though. Just like Mariah and Christina cannot be compared. Hyorin strains all the time, while Ailee does it rarely and the only time I can say she truly failed was when she sang Love on Top (but that's because that song is fucking hard to sing, just goes to prove what an incredible singer Beyonce is). Ailee just needs a lot of vocal rest, she's been working constantly since last February.

i'm not comparing vocal range or who is the best, my whole point was that just like mariah and christina, who are amazing vocalists, they tend to over-do and over-sing when it is not needed, especially when their voices already are so powerful and that was the common point.

it wasn't even about straining it, it was just like i said, to over-do and over-sing, or add high notes and ad-libs in a song in which certain things weren't necessary, just to show their capacities. but i do admit that hyorin does that way more than ailee.

I guess, I don't really notice it that much. If you're already mentioning Mariah and Christina, Ailee and Hyorin could be compared to them in a way. Christina used to have potential but she had either a bad vocal trainer or just used terrible technique and now her voice is completely ruined. I just hope Hyorin doesn't go her way.

Vocal rest won't help tbh. Beyonce has been in the business longer than both of them. A great voice gets better with age and experience. This is why Aretha Franklin sounds legit amazing now than before. Mariah let her range go to shit but in her defense, pop music doesn't require the range she used to be able to do anyways.

Too many kpop entertainers think they can go from 0 to Beyonce with a few vocal training classes and in a few months. it's like the trainers don't have the heart to tell them that's not going to happen in the 5 or so years (if they're lucky) that idol is relevant.

What I meant by vocal rest is that her voice sounds really tired lately, I first noticed that when she sang on the Patti Kim show. Ailee has really good technique (among the best in kpop imo), and she has a good range despite the lack of a defined lower register. She can only improve, considering she only started her training in 2010 and is still young (as long as she's not smoking or drinking). Sometimes she does go overboard, but I've never noticed her "trying to hit notes she can't".

Yes! I LOVE Heaven and was a bit disappoint with I'll Show You.. though I still like the song I didn't feel it was on the same level.

I can't decide if I want her to have a rap in a song or sing a ballad next for a comeback. She's just so good at both that I can't pick but agree. She has an amazing voice, I just don't like I Will Show You. There's something about that song and it just kind of... lets you down after the perfection of Heaven, but Evening Sky was great.

She's just so perfect! I can't wait for her comeback!
