shades of ERRTHING EVER in this vid-- reminded of that one rocky hangeng mv, also it looks like a bunch of props were borrowed off bigbang, also jaejoong is probably a gackt fanboy isn't he, also the slomo interlude with the crows made me burst out laughing and remember that snow white movie last year, also OMG WAS THAT AN ASSASSIN'S CREED SHOUTOUT, okay the problem with the song isn't that his voice is thin-- you guys don't listen to enough rock music if you think that is a PROBLEM-- but the fact that the production makes his singing compete with everything else. fff. every single frame he's in a different outfit could be a photoshoot in itself, but nothing hangs together, but most pop videos are like this anyway. overall b+ for this fanfic-shot-to-life.
i knew the mv would live up to my expectations after being so impressed by junsu's whole tarantallegra concept, and the song... his voice definitely isn't one that appeals to everyone out there and it has slightly changed over the years but i think his tad smokey-strain vocals kind of fittingly wormed its way into the song and projected the emotion more than anything else. i personally appreciate it a ton.
this side of jaejoong was something i never knew i wanted/needed until i actually feasted my eyes on it. there was angst, supernatural elements, yet still very humane? in a way. especially those half-bare shots with his tattoos focusing in/out. plus i never really appreciated jaejoong's fingers (yunho's, on the other hand...), but there was quite a lot of emphasis on them in this video and i liked how they manipulated the emotions into his very fingertips, a mixture of "come-hither" and "so i can devour the fuck out of you - literally".
i liked the inclusion of the animals as well (wolf, owl, crow) and thankfully they didn't throw in a random mix of parrots and shit (cough, 2n, cough, e1).
i see jyj is still trying to make the best out of their current (and forever ongoing) situation, just producing whatever the fuck they like since they can't promote, and it's great that they continuously garner the support plus attention regardless (or rather, because of) the things they have produced. they probably just fulfilled numerous fangirl fantasies, what with vamp!jae and all, everyone harped over that since the day this pale-skinned, doe-eyed boy debuted years back.
all right, i need to sleep, but this was really great.
For all of Jae's, at times, powder puffish vibe, he's very manly and I think it shows very well in his hands. They're beautiful and nicely shaped without being boney or spidery thin and spindley. They look strong, but very beautiful. I've heard people describe his fingers as sausage-like. Eh?!
