Drama Special 'Sirius' Premiers With Nearly Universal Acclaim

The KBS Drama Special Sirius has aired its first episode with nearly widespread acclaim.

The 1st episode of the KBS Drama Special Season 3, Sirius, has recorded 3.8% ratings despite its late airing time.

The 1st episode in the 4-episode long drama series Sirius showed the strikingly different fate of the twins, Do Shin-woo (Seo Jun-young) and Do Eun-chang, when Eun-chang commits murder accidentally out of Shin-woo's bullying in his school.

After a long time, the brothers meet again as an elite detective and an ex-convict delivery man. As illegal drugs are smuggled in from China, disguised as sea wreck, Detective Do Shin-woo heads a raid in the factory disguising the drugs as fish, and finds his brother Eun-chang there. The twins, meeting face-to-face with only their fingerprints to tell them apart, wrapped the scene entirely in a great tension.

Manager Go (Ryu Seung-soo), an owner of a hostess bar and one of the smugglers involved in the trade, realizes Eun-chang’s existence and plans to use this to his advantage, foreshadowing the twins' double cover.

The online board of the drama Sirius exploded with acclaim for the drama's tension, its unconventional genre and plot, as well as the acting skills of the two leads Seo Jun-young and Ryu Seung-soo.

oh that's true, it's one those special shorter ones! i'll still probably wait for it be finished though. I'm already watching School 2013, FBND, White Christmas, Romantic & Idol, 1N2D, Once Upon a Time... my TV schedule can only handle so much LOL.

I saw the recap in Dramabeans and I'm so curious to see this. I'll wait for subs, I guess.

And I loved Seo Junyoung in the mess that was "To The Beautiful You." He was so cute. :)

okay after this post i just MUST watch it. I usually like drama specials and it caught my attention because of dramabeans posts. the plot sounds very interesting!

Saw the first ep without subs. (After 5 years of having kpop run my life, i can pretty much understand without subs, maybe 80%. )

The show is great! It's very smart. And it helps that they have a really charismatic and talented actor who has quite an amazing range, he definitely takes the character to a different level.

Hyungsik plays the younger version. He didn't do a bad job, he was quite convincing actually. Still green but he did a decent job.

Going to rewatch once i find subs so i can understand fully. Which i might not have to if this was a romcom but given that it's a complex story with twists, im going to watch just to make sure i didn't miss anything.

Best thing about this is that it's only 4 eps! Just enough that you get more length than a movie but not to the lengths of a draggy 16ep series.

Ooh, the article and your comment totally made me want to watch it. And like you said, the fact that it going to be just 4 episodes long is definitely a plus, shorter dramas tend to be more intense and focused plot-wise than longer series.
