i love the fact that for once we have a bubbly male lead and not a bad boy, moody type, enrique is adorable and i want to put him in my pocket. and dok mi's reason to spy on her neighbor is not ridiculous, and you actually can feel and relate why she has such a live style.
honestly so far i loved all the characters who have been introduced, i love the pace of this drama, reminds me of japanese dramas flows and i love how every character clicks on their purpose on being there, instead of simply being dropped around each other, it makes sense,
i liked the second male, but i don't see him as a treat, for once i ship the leads together with the get go, however i do have to admit i had a thing for enrique and seo young.
lol when i lived in DC you could see entire lifestyles across the courtyards... every time i go back my friends brief me on what's going on in the neighborhood lmao /creeper
Haven't seen episode 2 yet, but these were some of my impressions from episode 1 copypasta'd:
Park Shin Hye is adorable and precious and I want to put her in my pocket Enrique = Kwanghee of ZE:A. Seriously. Kim Ji Hoon and his wing man/assistant are too cool for school despite being underdogs The cinematography is very pretty and muted Meta Damn, that means KJH is gonna end up as the narrator of this one, right? Sigh.
i totally want her to end up with Jin Rak's webtoon partner (Donghoon??) lmao, just because of how offended he is by her lack of concern lolol. actually she would be cute with Jin Rak too...or even Enrique...
lol i think this is the first time i would honestly not care about who ends up with who because all the characters are great (except the fluffy pink Dok Mi bully that shows up but even she seems not that bad). Like Jin Rak is adorable and so is Enrique and so is Enrique's older bro and Dok Mi is probably the greatest female heroine in dramas so far and so even if i have a bit of second lead syndrome, i know all the other options for him are just as good because Dok Mi isn't the only great loveable girl in this drama world yay!
I like that the lead is bubbly too. I love my dark and brooding leads (more than I'd like to admit probably), but this is refreshing. YSY seems like he's going to do a great job with the character too.
the pace is great and so is the humor. i was actually lol irl at a lot of the scenes. I never felt bored, or wanted to skip over a character's scene.
Even though I like the second male, I feel like when he loses out to enrique it's going to make sense on a lot of levels so I might be comfortable with it by then. on dramabeans they pointed out how enrique and dok mi are very similar, they just have opposite ways of dealing with it. So I'm looking forward to them opening up to each other.
haha yeah her flawless panda eyes man. i'm really appreciating how so many of the female characters look like shit after so many barbie doll heroines in every other drama, even when they're supposed to be poor or tomboyish lol
I really liked the cinematography too. instead of being all bright and flashy like most rom/coms it seemed like a normal world, and I think part of it was how they filmed it.
omg that's an adorable couple I hadn't thought of!! now I'm shipping it too XD.
I have a liiiitle bit of second lead syndrome too, but I think enrique is going to win me over pretty fast. him and dok mi seem like they might need each other, and i always end up rooting for the couple that i think will help each other the most.
yeah at first i wanted Dok Mi and Jin Rak too bc he's so cute, but Enrique seems to really understand her, and it's hard to have second lead syndrome when the first lead isn't a complete asshole who no one should ever fall in love with. especially after episode 2, Jin Rak seems to have a crush on his fantasy idea of Dok Mi more than Dok Mi herself haha
but i think the way this drama is heading, everyone will end up with the right people in the end without the audience having to tear their hair out over it. hopefully.

I'm worried I'm going to be rooting for second lead in this drama. I hate it when that happens cause it's painful!!
