The popularity of JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong has been reflected once more.
Kim Jae Joong opened up ticket sales online on January 7 for his upcoming mini concert, Your, My and Mine.
However, as soon as ticket sales opened up, all 16,000 seats sold out, and the influx of traffic ended up crashing the server.
Shortly after, Kim Jae Joong and his concert became the most searched term on various online portal sites, as well as on the ticket reservation site, Interpark.
Interpark also added Kim Jae Joong’s concert ticket sale site brought in the most number of international visitors ever.
The upcoming mini concert is Kim Jae Joong’s first solo concert in Korea and will look to show Kim Jae Joong not only as an artist but a diverse entertainer. The mini concert will be divided into three parts including a fan meet, a production history talk and then the mini concert.
While Kim Jae Joong’s solo album won’t be released until January 17, a preview track, titled One Kiss will be unveiled later today (January 8 KST).

Date: 2013-01-08 04:02 am (UTC)All of Interpark crashed, so trying to get a ticket was a very slow process. I got my ticket after about 20 minutes with the slow server, but there was still loads of seats left.

Date: 2013-01-08 04:24 am (UTC)Gmarket's servers seem to be able to cope with it - at least they don't crash the rest of the website. So Interpark need to start looking at whatever the hell it is they're doing and copy.
Buying tickets for Korean k-pop concerts is unnecessarily stressful.

Date: 2013-01-08 10:34 am (UTC)And maybe I managed to get one before it was up again properly? I'm not sure. Doesn't feel that way. Interpark always slows down immensely on me and Interpark doesn't seem to be in real time like Gmarket so it doesn't feel like tickets are going unless you refresh. It's a shame you couldn't get any for your friends.
It would be no surprise if they sold out within 30 mins (and quite likely less), but I don't quite think it's 'record time' given recent supposed records from those sold on gmarket. Unless this is record time for Interpark?

Date: 2013-01-08 07:05 am (UTC)i got my seat in 20 mins bec of the slow server (tho i clicked 8:00pm on the dot). it actually took me more than 5 of those 20 mins just picking a seat bec whenever i'd click on a supposedly 'empty' seat it would tell me that it's already taken. so imo not necessarily because there are a lot of seemingly vacant ones did it mean that they were still vacant seats as seconds ticked by. i went back after i finished paying and tried to check if there were still seats but they were pm sold out already.

Date: 2013-01-08 11:02 am (UTC)My choice of words might be a bit strong in the first comment, but I don't know what they're counting record time by and I really hate the wording of these articles. Some groups can sell out pretty fast, but then have tickets become available as people cancel seats intentionally or accidentally. Big Bang was like that, and there were a few times it was 'sold old' but tickets suddenly became available again. Of course they were on GM not IP, but it doesn't mean there were no more seats after these few minutes or whatever the record is. And then you have those that 'sell out' and then have lots of people cancel because their friends got better tickets or they can't make it. There were a few groups/artists who also supposedly sold out in record time this year and I've still seen tickets available a few weeks before their concert. And I'm not talking just one or two seats - there were whole chunks of seats available. I'm fairly certain that Jaejoong's concert will stay sold out and any cancellations will be snapped up quickly, but I feel like these articles in general are misleading. Then again, journalism isn't always known to tell the facts straight.
Would be nice if Interpark could replicate Gmarket's real time seat selection. It would cut out so much trouble when buying seats. Glad you managed to get a seat though!

Date: 2013-01-08 11:12 am (UTC)Actually it seemed that it was easier to get tickets this time compared to Junsu's concerts. My twitter friend managed to get VIP now whereas she couldn't get any tickets for Junsu. So we had to get them from others
