Korea’s best pop composers face off in January!

Although January looks like another fierce month for the multitude of artist comebacks and stages, the hardest work of all is up to the composers themselves – for without a song, the groups cannot make a comeback, and without a good song, the comeback will fall flat. Composer such as Brave Brothers, Sweetune, and others are furiously preparing for a rush of debuts and comebacks.

Already a respected composer in pop music, Brave Brothers has previously composed for SISTAR19, who are gearing up for their comeback. Brave Brothers is already familiar with SISTAR, having delivered hit tracks suck as “Ma Boy“, “So Cool“, and “Alone“.

Sweetune is bringing forth Nine Muses as his strongest hand. Having already composed plenty of hit songs for the girl group – such as “Figaro“, “News“, and “Ticket“, he is planning to take it up another notch with their impending comeback. “The luxuriant and sexy atmosphere of the song is a level above anything you’ve heard before,” teased a representative for Star Empire Entertainment, Nine Muses’ parent company. “Hand-in-hand with the unique song, we are preparing an out-of-this-world stage.”

The upcoming new subunit of 4minute, currently untitled, but composed of Gayoon and Jiyoon, will be bringing out a fresh track from hit-maker Lee Sang Ho, the composer behind B2ST‘s “Shock“. Their new track is speculated to be in a ‘country pop’ style, a genre never before seen in Korea.

Omona what song are you most excited to hear? Obviously, I am all for Nine Muses, but 2yoon's sounds interesting.

nah, you ain't pressed. I end up addicted to his tracks but it's a fact he recycles the same melodic lines over and over and over again, and does few changes into the instrumentals. But he succeeds on being catchy, I bet that's why he still sells.

Charts wise Brave bros will win it, Hyorin and Back Up dancer Bora aka Sistar 19 were quite successful with My Boy. Quality wise, Sweettune will wipe the floor with them.

Basically. All of Sweet Rendezvous was great but still 9M only sells about as well as Spica at debut. I think it must be very nice of Sweettune to continue doing work with them when it won't help him with accruing more popular acclaim.

(Granted, 9M only have about as many songs as Spica does now. XD Still, unless they get lucky somehow I dunno what it will take for them to break through.)
