Choi Jin Shil’s ex-husband Jo Sung Min commits suicide

The late Choi Jin Shil‘s ex-husband Jo Sung Min has committed suicide.

Recall that Choi Jin Shil committed suicide in October 2008, and her brother also did the same in May 2010. The tragedy is followed by yet another suicide. Jo Sung Min was found hanged in his girlfriend’s apartment. Though the police are still investigating the matter, as of now, it seems Choi Jin Shil’s children have lost another dear one to suicide.

Jo Sung Min had long suffered from hate comments ever since his wife’s death. Not only that, he used to be an excellent baseball player, but suffered various problems through injury. Many pitied his life, but also lamented for the two children he left behind.

Just a few days ago, the children Hwanhee and Junhee had thanked comedian Lee Young Ja for taking good care of them, showing bright smiles on screen.

Our hearts go out to Hwanhee and Junhee, and everyone else who were affected by this devastating news.

Choi Jin Shil's death was so tragic, I still haven't got over it, but I guess some people got what they want with Jo Sung Min. Those poor children, to lose both parents, I just can't. RIP:(

can I be angry here because Lee Young Ja, Choi Jin Shil's mother, and Jo Sung Min's mother found out about the suicide through a slew of phone calls from the reporters asking if they knew and what they thought about it?

Imagine getting a call in the middle of the night from some guy you don't even know, be told that your loved one is dead, and it wasn't out of condolences, but because they were too fucking nosey and dedicated to their fucking job to forget how to be a human being. Assholes.

Those two children have already lost their parents and uncle to suicide. I hope and pray that they grow up well, considering all the tragic circumstances of their childhood. :(

I don't really feel bad for him because he was an asshole to his family but I feel bad for the children. Having to lose so many close relatives to suicide . it makes me worry for them and their future.

It makes me sad to think about how Choi Jin Shil's life was tragic in so many ways (Her manager killing her other manager, living in extreme poverty...) and the tragedy is still continuing on.

I just seriously feel so sad for those two children. They're still so young and even now, I bet they are struggling with the loss of their mother and uncle, who took care of them the most other than their grandmother.

And even though Jo Sung Min was not a great father figure at all, he was still the kids' father.
I just wish the kids continue to pull through and family and friends continue to give tons of love and support to these young children.

I can't really feel sorry for him knowing what kind of person he was in life as you can't get much lower than beating a pregnant woman, but I hope his soul is where ever it needs to be. I can't personally say I feel sad at this news as an outsider who followed what he did to her in the news.

But it's sad that these two children will have to grow up knowing that so many people around them died. It will be a hard struggle for them. Not only does depression run in families but suicide tends to as well so it will probably be hard for them to grow up with that weighing on them. I pray for their safety most of all.
