The heavy backtrack/lipsyncing's been there since The Boys tbh although I do hear Yuri rapping during her part in the beginning of IGAB. I'm gonna assume it's for SNSD to focus more on their dancing.

Wow, I know SM is not stranger to buying music, but buying Mercy? really? And turning it into that is a little....but I love the styling, I'd much prefer that over the weird candy hip hop they've got goin on.

GLAM was perfect, no more needs to be said. And I'm still love Dal Shabet and HELLOVENUS' songs to death- it's good to see girl groups that do 'cute' well.

I was way surprised to see DICKPUNKS (tried not to giggle) getting to play live. The music has so much more depth than a plain backtrack.

Maybe it was because it was 4AM or so my time during the stream of it, but I legit shed a tear or two at the perfection that is that Boyfriend teaser. It sounds like dark-ish 80's synth-y goodness and K-pop had a beautiful love child, all of the members look amazing, I dig the MV set, etc.

the ‘dance queen’ dance is so fucking ridiculous because it doesn’t match the title and annoys me. but i like this better than i got a boy, i love candy colored soshi than faux badass & hiphop soshi. but srsly what the puppy paws have to do with dancing? and i love you can hear sooyoung's fangirl (or it is just me?). weirdly enough with all my issues against 'i got a boy' i actually like the song.

and omfg i found the translation of the song and the lyrics are so bad, like the sounds the lyrics look like they are from 3 different songs, makes no sense at all, i especially hate the bare face part, however it still makes more sense than any f(x) song ever released.

and lol the people who were lazy dancing on the mv are equally lazy on the stage. god bless hyo, yoona, yuri and sooyoung for dancing their hearts off and looking hot while doing so. and man i love the chorus. but i hate rapping soshi, so unnecessary. but you gotta give it to them, they know how to fill a stage, and i don't mean it by an crazy amount of people on stage.


baek jiyoung was fucking amazing, stunning andf perfect, her voice gives me chills.

and while i have nothing against yoseob, but idg how his voice is seen as some of the best in kpop.

I dunno if it's because my bias is skewed, but I think Yoseob is currently one of the best singers in kpop. He's super stable, has great range, emotes very well, and has a pretty versatile tone.

This performance always gets me. It's a shame because I don't think he gets to show off his talent very often. :(

That IGAB perf >> the Dancing Queen perf. I'm fine with cute concepts generally but ngl all the mincing about/paw poses made my hair stand. At least with IGAB they outperformed the song - I enjoyed it tbh (apart from Tiffany's terrible attempt at rockstar!growling, that is lolol).

Ok during that Dancing queen perf I didn't get to finish I kept thinking of puppies or hamsters with that gesture. Also, first time listening to I got a boy, song that from the teaser I thought I'd like. I think that whole video OP posted there will join the "kpop vids I'll never show my irl friends to illustrate with kpop is or else they'll mock me till I get married" and I see myself dying with cats so that would be a whole lot of time. I really have nothing against SNSD, really. I actually like some of their previous singles and LOVE Genie, but WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS (IS) THAT. Also doing that to Mercy is a sin. SM is doing worse by the minute or is it just me? Cause god, I love Henmi sfm but SJM's comeback isn't looking any better than this OTL

To end this on a positive note: OMFG INFINITE H, I loved GLAM (lovedloved) and I think I could like Boyfriend's next track. I don't like the guys much but that one sounds good, so we'll see. Gonna see the non idols perts now *o*

i feel like i should hate IGAB... but i totally love it, in all it's messy, noncohesive glory. and not just because i'm a hardcore sone, i have no problem saying i hated the boys, but for some reason i love this. not into dancing queen at all though, i would rather them promote one of their ballads from the album.

The beginning of GLAM's song sounds identical to the riff of a Bollywood song from my childhood, so I can't help but find I Like That a lolz-worthy song. Still, it's pretty good, and correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there 5 people in GLAM? Where'd the other one go?

Also, the volume of Soshi's backtrack needs to be turned down several notches, I can't hear any of them. Glad that my bby Sooyoung is getting more camera time though <3
