Today, with sales of 16,582 for this week, Tohoshinki's 28th single "Stand by U" ranked at #7. Combining the sales from the first week (182,068), the total sales for this single have reached 198,650, making it a possibility that this will be their first single to pass the 200,000 mark.

Tohoshinki's 4th album, "The Secret Code", which was released in April, sold 2,249 copies this week, ranking at #32.

:) I'm glad it's being received well. It's one of my favorite singles, that's for sure. Stand By U isn't exactly a power ballad like Bolero or Love in the Ice, but there's something so touching about it.

yes yes i agree completely. for me, it's powerful in it's own way. bolero and liti grabs your heart and twists it but sbu just gently caresses it and leaves you crying ;___;

Do the BigEast versions count towards Oricon? I know the Tokyo Dome versions did but I'm curious about the BE ones.

\o/ I'm glad it had this boost, it could mean that their single's habit of getting good sales on the first day then bombing away on the rest is ending. With their first CF and now this single's success It seems they're getting settled as the japanese group they've wanted to be, instead of the fad they were openly labeled as there last year ._. Thus, I shall ignore that there were 2056161 versions of this single. Also, Stand by U is now their biggest selling single~~
