Actor Song Joong Ki expressed how happy he was for the success of his film.
Song Joong Ki’s interview was featured on the December 15th episode of KBS ‘Entertainment Report’. On the interview Song Joong Ki stated, “I was certain about my choice when accepted the role on ‘Nice Guy’ and while that drama was doing very well, ‘Werewolf Boy’ took off exceeding my expectation.”
Song Joong Ki continued, “But then there were some negatives too. All of a sudden I couldn’t concentrate on the drama anymore. It was because I was so amped up. I had so much trouble calming myself down.”
Song Joong Ki added, “The extended version of ‘Werewolf Boy’ was released so I went to the theater and I watched it hiding amongst the fans. I reacted to the scenes very lively. It felt real when I was there. It was some time after the movie had been released but the theater was still full of people, so it felt real.”
He also spoke about how he felt about wrapping up the drama ‘Nice Guy’. Song Joong Ki shared, “I don’t know why I cried on the last day of filming. The last day of filming felt really said. It’s always like that though. Even on the last day of filming for ‘Werewolf Boy’, Park Bo Young didn’t cry but I did. It was the same with ‘Nice Guy’, Moon Chae Won didn’t cry but I did.”

′A Werewolf Boy′ Passes 7 Million a Month Faster than ′Sunny′s′ Record
Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young′s A Werewolf Boy has passed the 7 million mark.
According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network, A Werewolf Boy and its extended version gathered a total of 7,018,577 people up to December 16, 47 days since it first premiered on October 31.
A Werewolf Boy is currently the Korean film with the 11th biggest audience in Korean film history. According to the Ticket Computer Network, it′s ranked at no. 13 behind May 18 and The Good, The Bad, The Weird, but adding the audiences for the extended version puts A Werewolf Boy ahead of the two films.
Sunny is the film currently right before A Werewolf Boy. Sunny also has an extended version, meaning that adding the 7.36 for the original to the 80,000 for the director′s cut yields a total audience of 7.44 million.
A Werewolf Boy′s speed in reaching 7 million, however, surpasses that of Sunny by about a month. It is also just a day later than the record set by War of the Arrows at no. 9. A Werewolf Boy is thus expected to at least reach the levels of Sunny and War of the Arrows soon.
Song Joong Ki selected as representative for an outdoor brand
Actor Song Joong Ki and actresses Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Yeon Hee, who are well known as fashionistas, were recently selected as representatives for the outdoor brand North Face. The brand held a ceremony on December 20 with the three stars.
Starting for spring and summer of 2013, the three representatives will promote new products from the brand. Gong has worked for the brand from 2008 to 2010. Song met the grand while shooting KBS’s series Innocent Man and Lee has been working for the brand since 2011.
An official for the brand says, “Since our brand has grown in Korea and drawn various customers, we decided to select three representatives. They will show off their appeals in a loving environment.”
