I Miss You: The Drama Will Not Be Extended Beyond 20th Episode

MBC has revealed that the drama ‘I Miss You’ will not be extended beyond its 20-episode plan.
A representative of the drama has commented on 21st that “we have decided not to extend the drama, after consulting the producers of the drama”.
The confirmation is in response to a report released earlier that the 4-episode extension of the drama ‘I Miss You’ is being considered to be favorable.
‘I Miss You’ is a drama depicting the loss and healing of a tragic first love, starring actors Park Yoochun, Yoon Eun-hye, and Yoo Seung-ho. The drama is currently on its 13th episode, and will end on January 16th, 2013 if the drama’s airing is not affected.

“When I Act Like A Loving, Cute Son For My Part.. I Feel Bad For My Mom”

Park Yoochun stated that he feels bad for his mother.
This was during the press conference of MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘I Miss You’ on the 17th that was attended by Park Yoochun, Yoon Eun Hae and Yoo Seung Ho.
On this day, Park Yoochun talked about his character Jung Woo and his tendencies to act cute to his mother Song Mok Suk. Regarding this, Park Yoochun stated, “In real life, I’m not very outwardly affectionate towards my mother because it’s we’re [Park Yoochun and Park Yoohwan] two boys.”
He continued to add, “I have a silent and gruff personality, so even when I try to strike up a conversation with my mother, I’m not as good at it as Jung Woo is,” and “When I watch ‘I Miss You’ with my mother, I feel bad for her.”
Park Yoochun stated, “But I think I’m friendlier and much more open to people older than me than others my age.”

“It Feels Great To Know We Have The Highest Viewer Ratings”

Actor Park Yoochun revealed his elation at hearing that his drama has the highest viewer ratings in its time slot.
Park Yoochun attended the press conference of MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘I Miss You’ on the 17th and when asked what he thought about the immense amount of love the drama’s been getting from viewers, he confessed, “Of course it feels great to know we have the highest viewer ratings.”
He continued to add, “I found a new source of strength when I heard that we were number one. Because the staff and actors get along really well, we always film in a friendly and light atmosphere. I think we need to end the drama well to make sure the viewer ratings don’t drop.”
Yoon Eun Hae also stated, “I usually don’t think about the viewer ratings for this drama because it’s been receiving such a good response and because I really get into it, but when I heard that we had the highest viewer ratings, it made me feel like I was shouldering a new sense of responsibility.”

‘I Miss You’ was ranked at #2…why?

‘I Miss You’ of MBC was ranked at #2 while ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ of KBS2 got #1 again among Wed-Thu dramas.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, ‘I Miss You’ on 20th recorded 9.7% of national audience rating. It’s 1.9% lower than its previous episode’s one, 11.6% on 13th.

‘I Miss You’ had been #1 among Wed-Thu dramas from its 10th episode, but it gave #1 position to ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ this time. ‘I Miss You’ showed decrease of audience rating due to no broadcasting on 19th because of the broadcasting of the Presidential Election, ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ that was the only drama that was broadcasted normally got #1 rank with higher audience rating.

In ‘I Miss You’ on 20th, there was a kiss scene of Su-Yeon(Yun Eun-Hye’s role) and Jeong-Woo(Park Yu-Cheon’s role) after recognizing their love for each other. However, Su-Yeon said to Jeong-Woo that she will marry to Harry(Yu Seung-Ho’s role), which announced a sad romance of two people.

Meanwhile, ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ of KBS2 got 11.9%, and ‘Dae Pung Su’ of SBS got 8.2% of audience rating.
