its just...i wanted to start the show with a group i like/already knew and WG's my ultimate bias :3 and since i like that ep and the c-clown ep [though there are some really side-eye worthy moments] im gonna watch the others :)
It isn't the first time he's mentioned it and Maru's always just trying to pass it off as if it's nbd. I'm glad the MCs told him not to be so mean instead of encouraging his nonsense tbh.
I actually didn't realize the teasing of Maru until you all pointed it out. That's horrible. But I did notice Siwoo not being all that happy during the drawing game too. Daniel and San-E tried to get them to calm down about Siwoo's face too :(
I skipped through a few of the parts of this when they were posted to youtube. I don't really know anything about these boys but I do remember being highly impressed with the press-ups! I feel a little bad I can't remember much else about what I watched...
I felt SO bad for Maru during the multiple comments and cracks at his skin tone and looking foreign, etc... he looked REALLY uncomfortable. Side-eying Ray and Kangjun tbh. Also, this isn't the first time that the members have said stuff like this about him, and I'm growing weary of it. It's bad enough that YouTube comments use the N word in reference to him, but you'd think that his own group members would be a little more sensitive.
I've always thought that he's mixed because I mean, it's pretty obvious, but watching this ep made me think that he's trying to keep it on the DL, and maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he almost looked scared that he was going to be ~exposed~ or something.
Man, I can't even imagine what this poor kid had to deal with in school. I mean, damn, he's only 15... he's too young to have to deal with this kind of bullshit :c
Hmm, interesting... no, I still have to check that out. Honestly though, I wouldn't be surprised if they had Korean family members of his step in and pretend to be one or both parents. Maybe I'm cynical, but with how Korea is with race and how new C-CLOWN is, I don't doubt that something like that would happen.
I only started paying attention to them when Kangjun caught my eye in the MV for their new song so I started listening to their stuff which is pretty solid stuff.
And yes, The GURUPOP Show exists and it's fun. Daniel and San-E are great. The ZE:A episode is an absolutely riot. The most English spoken on any of the episodes I think.
