JYJ and SM Entertainment’s legal battle comes to an end

The legal battle between JYJ and SM Entertainment has finally come to an end!

After what seems like forever, the two sides are reported to have come to a mutual agreement on the 28th.

It is said that SM Entertainment and JYJ have both withdrawn all lawsuits against one another, and have agreed to not interfere with any of each other’s activities.

The long drawn out fight was started back in July 31st, 2009 when the initial lawsuit was filed against SM Entertainment by the three members of JYJ, who were part of TVXQ, requesting for the cancellation of their contracts. Since then, the two sides failed to reach an agreement every time and was due back in court again later this year.

It seems the legal battle is now over, and both sides, especially JYJ, can work towards moving forward free of the legal issues that had been holding them back.

Stations lose the excuse of the lawsuit now, unless backdoor deals still happen. We shall see. I'd hope that people realize they can have their cake and eat it too. I never expected it to be over this soon though. I thought I'd be done with pharm school by then and I haven't even taken my exam yet! lol

There were none. Literally. SME said your contract was concluded in 2009 since JYJ said they didn't want to promote as TVXQ. SME said management over them was pointless. They both agreed to withdraw and "stay out of each other's lives".

we shall have to see...because i still feel like JYJ will be restricted in everything they do. even if SM says they won't interfere i feel like shows and channels will still prevent JYJ from going on just in case SM gets pissed off. a silent order, or something like that.
