With the recent surfacing of a photo showing IU and Eunhyuk together that was accidentally revealed through IU’s Twitter, fans and netizens alike had been awaiting an official statement from the artists’ respective agencies.

It seems Loen Entertainment is the first to break their silence as they have just released an official statement on the issue:

Hello. This is Loen Entertainment.

This is an official statement regarding the picture that was revealed early this morning through IU’s Twitter.

First, we bow our heads and sincerely apologize for causing concern to all the representatives and all the fans of IU and Super Junior.

The revealed photo was from this summer when IU was very sick and Eunhyuk had come to visit her at her home, and was taken then when they sat on the sofa together; it was revealed to the outside due to IU’s mistake through her related photo uploading service while IU was making a mention on Twitter.

IU is sincerely sorry for bringing harm to her sunbae Eunhyuk due to her error.

Lastly, IU and Eunhyuk are close sunbae-hoobae who have been close since IU’s debut, Eunhyuk is close to the point that he has even dined with IU’s mother. We ask that you do not exaggerate or make assumptions about IU and Eunhyuk’s relationship due to this incident.

We will return to greet you as a more matured agency after having learned from this incident. We apologize once again.

Nobody is going to believe this. Might as well admit it and then do some "damage" control. It'd be less awkward.

What irritates me about this whole "scandal" is why people are giving a big fuss about it. Whether they are together or not, it's not of the fans business and people need to take a massive chill pill. I always think KPOP PR needs to take a few lessons from the West when it comes to people's romantic relationships (ie. Beiber and Selena Gomez).

Because to a celebrity, the most important thing is their image. IU's company had pushed hat she was this innocent fluffy cloud angel that could do no wrong. And then she posted a picture post-coitus. And when fan's aren't happy with you or your image, they're not going to buy your stuff. People don't buy your stuff and you fade into irrelevancy.

If LOEN hadn't been pushing that image of IU but rather kept it as "she's just some normal girl nxt door" this wouldn't be as big of a deal.

i first read that as ...sorry for bringing ham to her sunbae... lol!

but i'm going on denial/deulusional mode, give them the benefit of doubt and say the following things:

-eunhyuk usually wears shirts with wide/deep collars, so that's why he seems like he's shirtless.

-iu could've pressed the shutter button before eunhyuk was ready that's why he looks like that.

-the pajama iu is wearing in the pic looks different from the one she posted with the burnt parts.

so yeah those are plausible things that came to my mind, but are probably highly unlikely reasons to explain what's happening in the pic.

This is slightly off topic, but I'm wondering how many of these idols actually like their fans. I mean, I think they appreciate that the fans care so much about them but don't you think after a certain point, idols would get sick of them for trying to control their lives and dismissing the fact that idols are also humans?

I'm just thinking about this because fans always mention their favorite idols and post creepy stuff, like "oppa I want you to have my babies" or something like that and I'm sure the idols read a lot of, if not most, of the mentions they receive. Even the fans who aren't to the sasaeng level act like this. I don't know, I'm just convinced that a lot of idols are putting on a facade so that they don't appear ungrateful.
