Lee Ha Yi, “It’s better that I don’t run into BIGBANG TOP…”

Singer Lee Hayi expressed her disappointment regarding the tangled situation between herself and her previously-stated “ideal man”, BIGBANG TOP.

During her days of being a contestant on the SBS audition show program ‘K-POP STAR’ since December 2011 throughout April 2012, Lee Hayi appointed TOP as her “ideal man”. There was also a time when she was even given special rap training from BIGBANG’s TOP during the show program.

However, it was revealed that even after Lee Hayi was fully signed under contract with YG Entertainment, the two (Lee Hayi and TOP) never ran into each other again since their very first and only meeting (during the recording of ‘K-POP STAR’).

The reason behind this is because TOP has been overseas for the past few months to prepare for BIGBANG’s world tour. It is also a hectic situation for the two to ever meet since BIGBANG’s rehearsal studio and Lee Hayi’s rehearsal studio is located in two separate buildings.

But even during these unfavorable conditions, Lee Hayi seems to be releasing a sigh of relief. Through her agency (YGE), she confessed, “It is a bit disappointing. But seeing him in person would probably make me feel so nervous and shy, I feel like I’d be much more comfortable not running into him.”

With YG Entertainment’s wholehearted and utmost support, Lee Hayi will be having her very first debut stage on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ today (4th).

Yes to this. I need CL to go back to rapping - and none of that yelling business she has gotten into lately. Although Minzy has a great voice, it'd be great to hear her rapping again as well. I can't really say I care for any of 2NE1's ballads, but if it has to be slow I want something RnB - In the Club or Love is Ouch please

But yes, if they want to leave any mark on 2012 they need to release a club banger like no other

COMPLETELY UNRELATED: my (korean) friend's brother picked us up from the airport today dressed like Teddy Park (ie, hoodie with flat brim cap) and i seriously lost it. maybe it's a ~sign

i would love to hear minzy rapping again! i've been listening to the first mini lately and i really miss her rapping. i think her singing is getting stronger too. i'd say their ballads pre-second mini were all good. and i think CL's rap in GD's "The Leaders" honestly might be her best flow ever. idk if she has written any of her own since then tbh. teddy really does understand her speaking style, i'll give him that.

Amen to CL's rap in The Leaders, I have never heard her sound so fabulous and sassy. It was great. But even though Teddy understands CL's style, he doesn't really get the rest of 2NE1's styles, so he really screws somebody over. Also, I hate how he's making CL sing because not only can it grate on people's ears, but it also means less for the other girls. We know CL can rap and sing, but we don't need it thrown at us in each and every song :\ I want to hear more of Dara tbh because, when used the right way, she sounds perfect. Same with Bom - these two sounded AMAZING in Let's Go Party and In the Club. Stay Together was great as well. Sad as it is though, I don't think they'll ever go back to the style of their first mini :'(

idk if i really require something in the vein of the first mini, because i loved Hate You and IATB and they were so different in style, but everything after the IATB comeback has been such a disjointed mess. i just want an album or mini with a distinct tone. i agree that CL really shouldn't be singing so much, i think her voice was littered across ILY and it could have used more bom and dara. dara/minzy's part is my favorite bit in the whole song anyway. i really like dara's voice a lot, i think she sounds very clear/unique even when her vocals are stacked.

lol but Hate You was originally a part of the first mini, but then they scrapped it because it was titled F*ck you back then xD

But yeah, I Am the Best was a great song, it's still my jam. I Love You, though it was interesting, did not really suit my tastes, and I totally agree about Dara's voice, as well as having a mini with a clear tone or theme. It's great that they want to deliver a variety of styles, but they can still do so with an overarching tone - at least I think they could.

lmao really? i didnt know that, did they say it in the song in any leaked versions? it doesnt seem like it would flow where the words 'hate you' are... the production doesn't really match the rest of the first mini either lol, but i imagine they changed it up or whatever for release

i really liked ILY because it sounded like something Xenomania would have produced and i wanted it to reel in all the Girls Aloud superfans (including my non-kpop friends who like GA) but it all sort of fizzled out after the stuff that happened then. anyway, now i would just love some new music. thx yg!!!!!

lol that's exactly what I thought when I first found out. I remember it so well because back then Avex had said that 2NE1 song would be releasing a jap version of it, but when fans speculated they quickly took it off and it was never heard of again xD

I think I Love You would have been huge if they had had decent promotions for it. YG is stuffing up everything this year. Who the hell makes a girl group in the middle of promotions go overseas for tours when they've only released one new song?!

historically i get really attached to labels (Labrador, Fascination, Island Def Jam...) but yg is the first time i've felt so emotionally affected by the inaction!

i think i'm most frustrated that he doesn't seem to realize that he is running a BUSINESS. this is just not how it works. if he were in manufacturing like i am (which, face it, he is) he would be lucky to be in the black, let alone avoid a hostile takeover by his stockholders. he is lucky as all hell for the bigbang base market, and even that isn't even a direct result of his work.
