Lee Joon being considered for main role in movie ‘An Actor is an Actor’

MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon is being considered for a new film ‘An Actor is an Actor‘.

He has reportedly been cast as the main character of ‘An Actor is an Actor’, produced by Kim Ki Duk and directed by Shin Yeon Sik. Kim Ki Duk has gained many praises and awards from his most recent ‘Pieta‘, so his next work is highly anticipated as well.

The movie tells the story of an actor whose popularity rises all of a sudden, but drops all the way to the bottom again. Lee Joon, who is currently confirmed for upcoming drama ‘Iris 2‘, has previous experiences with acting, so the director’s choice is not a surprising one.

However, J.Tune Camp said, “There is nothing confirmed yet,” so it remains to be seen whether the idol will be taking on the movie.

LOL girl they are only supporting/secondary roles. I mean Joon isnt even the secondary guy :( I'd have put him over doojoon -_- but the leads are veterans Jang Hyuk and Lee da hae so I'm sure it'll be fine. and they already did a follow up to IRIS called Athena (and I didnt watch it but I am told it was rather crap so...) Also you know TOP was in the first one and he's an idol so dont worry be happy? lol

Yea, Athena was absolute crap and I believe it bombed (or at least it wasn't as successful as Iris). I still probably won't watch this drama, even though I can see Jang Hyuk doing a pretty good job.

Even though Joon & Doojoon were good in variety but it doesn't mean that they when they act, they will turn the drama into comedy. Both of them, especially Joon are good actors. When they act, they are a completely different person. And as actors, they have characters to be fulfilled. They won't bring their variety personality into the drama. Please think before you comment. And if you never watch Joon or Doojoon's acting I would say please refrain from making baseless comment like this in the future.

OMG JOON IN A KIM KI DUK FILM? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Kim Ki Duk makes such amazing (and terrifying frankly) films and damn, a LEAD role? That shit is gonna be intense. and I know how sensitive Joon can be so I hope he can handle it without getting too caught up in it and becoming depressed but I definitely think he can pull off the role. and I am watching this so hard omg. I cant wait! I only seen a couple of Kim Ki Duk's films (I wanted to watch Bad Guy but the subject matter was rly too much for me to handle. I do intend to watch Pieta whenever it turns up online though) but IMO he's a great film maker. This is a big opportunity for Joon. Even though Kim's films dont often do great in korea (due to the subject matter I suspect) they seem to really catch a wind overseas so hopefully this gets Joonbug's name out <3

Well, I read in Nate that his agency had already confirmed that he will be taking this movie. They will start shooting this movie after he finished filming Iris 2 so the schedule will not clash.
