Battle on hiatus

omonatheydidNot news, really, since both Hwichan and Lio have already enlisted. But I didn't find a post about this except Hwichan case.
Battle member Hwichan has already reported for his military service on 2nd June, and another member Lio will also be doing so coming 7th July.
Battle's company said on the 10th, "Hwichan reported for military service on 2nd June in at the 306 replacement centre in Uijeongbu. Lio will also do so early next month. They are doing like all South Korean men's duty to defend the country."
And about the group's future activities, the representative said, "Battle is not disbanding, but with the members in the military service, it will be hard to see them promoting as a group for a while."
Currently members Ryu is practising acting, Taehwa is preparing for solo album release while Chris is staying in America.

5인조 남성그룹 배틀 멤버 휘찬이 지난 2일 군입대한 가운데 다른 멤버 리오가 7월 현역 입대한다.
리오는 오는 7월 7일 경기도 의정부 306보충대로 입소한다. 리오는 5주간 기초군사훈련을 받은 뒤 약 2년간 현역으로 군복무할 예정이다.
배틀 소속사 관계자는 10일 뉴스엔과의 통화에서 "휘찬이 지난 2일 의정부 306보충대로 입소했다. 리오 역시 내달 초 306보충대로 입소한다"고 밝혔다. 관계자는 "대한민국 남자로서 당연히 국방의 의무를 져야 한다"며 멤버들의 현역 입대 사실을 알렸다.
멤버들의 잇단 군입대로 배틀의 그룹 활동은 향후 몇년간 잠정적으로 중단될 전망이다. 관계자는 "배틀이 해체하는 것은 아니나 멤버들이 순차적으로 입대함에 따라 그룹 활동은 당분간 힘들 것"이라고 전했다.
현재 류는 연기 연습, 태화는 솔로 음반을 준비중이며 크리스는 미국에 거주하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
배틀은 2005년 케이블 음악채널 Mnet 오디션 프로그램 '배틀 신화'를 통해 발탁돼 가요계에 데뷔, '스텝 바이 스텝'(Step by Step)으로 활동을 펼쳤다.

I really hope they would/could break their contract withBad Good Entertainment. Taehwa's solo album is something to look forward to, but if it's released under Good Ent... Yeah, I don't really have my hopes up. Good Ent is financially screwed, who knows if the solo album will never be out.
